    Awesome build! getting into these builds thanks to your videos. About the decals, they are a nice touch, did you make and print them on your own? Do you have a tutorial on that if that is something you do or perhaps something to look into as a future video idea. Keep up the awesome work!

    • @rcprinter
      @rcprinter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for kudos and the video idea... yeah the decals make it looks a lot more finished for sure. I don't have a video on it but I just search the net for some pics to borrow and then print them out on a regular inkjet printer with clear waterslide decal paper as long as the project is a light color and the decals will look good without white (since you can't easily print white). You can get white decal paper as well if you need white but then you don't get see-through parts and you have to trim perfectly. I think the other options are solid colored decals cut out on something like a cricut or getting them printed at a printing shop but I haven't tried those options yet.

    Im curious if the steps in that hull model are functioning properly. The weight has to be precise for those steps to function and be beneficial and I'm thinking based on the way your hull is displacing water right before it reaches plane , the steps are too low in the water to properly ventilate. I'd be curious if this model would actually see performance increase by removing the steps and keeping the plane surface linear all the way to the stern. I could be incorrect in my observation as it also seems like the hull is underpowered so your are not reaching enough speed to generate air compression with tunnel sufficient enough to lift the hull. This could be the reason the steps are not ventilating, at higher speeds the hull will lift and the steps will be further out of the water allowing them to ventilate.

    In printfullys recommended printer settings it gives a lot of range like 25%-100% infill but doesn't specify for what parts, and 4-8 top and bottom layers. I printed 2 perimeters, 4 top and bottom layers, 25% infill with gyroid. Mk3s+ with prusaslicer. I printed a few of the hulls and they seem really heavy. What were your settings for the prints?
