what we call mandi is not what they serve in TN. It's cooked without much spices on goat or mutton stock.. but Tamil Nadu-le they call it mandi biryani. in essence mandi biryani nu onnu illa but this looks so tempting to try

it's actually mundhi✋, and origin from saudi usually made by saudhs(conflicts are going on in between Yemenis and saudhs that actually who made it first) for not only occasions they make it every single day (not only mundhi, they go for khabsa,madbuz, 😸) and this is not biriyani for sure. it's everywhere here in kerala(usually with a Malappuram influence/fusion)👍
