- This video contains information about the new immigration program for caregivers which was announced by Immigration Minister Marc Miller.
Important features of this are :
It provides permanent residency upon arrival in Canada
It requires lower English test results
It requires lower education
It allows organizations providing care to be covered by this program
Specifically, the eligibility requirements are:
1. CLB 4 English test results
2. High school diploma (Canadian or equivalent)
3. Work Experience in caregiving
4. Job offer for a fulltime job in caregiving in Canada

Yan na nga, ang mga caregiver organization na nasa canada ang lumalaban dito sa bagong policy kaso ang saklap hindi sila kasali sa policy na ito. Hindi makatarungan so unfair. Tuloy parin sila inaabuso ng mga employer dito sa Canada although Hindi naman lahat talaga.

lagi po ako nanunuod ng video nio nahihirapan po ako makahanap ng employer at ready na po ang IELTS and ECA ko employer n lng po ang kulang ko ang dami kuna po napasahan ng resume sa ngaun po may work experience po ako 4 years in home care here in japan eldercare po ako dito. Ang ask ko po saan panpo ba makakahanap ng employer o any recomendationnpo sa employer paano makahanap ng legit na employer.

Sa ngayon walang description yung work experience if pwede ang volunteer at kung gaano kahaba ang years of experience, kaya we need to wait for the guidelines pag ini-launch ito sometime in fall, sept. Or october this yr.

Madam I'm interested I study caregiver here in Hong Kong, my work experience is take care of newly born babies for13years here in Hong Kong
While it’s s wonderful news, I have doubts on this new permanent residency pathway. What if this pathway gets exploited? How do we know that “these caregivers” once they get their PR status, won’t quit their jobs and change careers and used the “caregiver experience” as a front to get landed immigrant status. Sooner or later someone will exploit this pathway like some exploited TFW or Student visas.
Thanks for your thoughts, true, programs like this may be abused along the way. Let us see what the guidelines would say when it comes out sometime this fall.
