- To test out the new DJI Inspire One drone, we went to deadmau5's expansive Toronto estate with our friend Marques Brownlee. We spent the day airlifting toy cats, chasing deadmau5 on his McLaren 650S, and flying DJI's lineup of quadcopters.

That Phantom is basically a toy to him. It's probably old and he doesn't use it, can do whatever he wants with it besides he did it for the video most likely.

If you guys didn't catch it he doesn't really shoot his own drones he shoots random drones that stalkers fly onto his property.

Miz The pizza is in a bag that the pizza man has when he delivers it to you. It doesn't deliver it with just the pizza box.
SC0RCHM4STER102 All good intentions respected, but safety is even more desired. I get that this technology might become a reality but the consequences to be tackled to support such a technology will only increase price of delivery and other services.
I won't be sarcastic about this, but drones can be hacked (Not like I would hack it), I won't like someone hacking the pizza company to know which drones deliver through which routes.
I am implying that, having food flying some meters above the sky is tempting not only to flying animals that have strong sense of smell but also humans that are frustrated about the idea of such advancement while going on hungry bellies all night.
That's what Amazon is trying to do

He shot a DJI Phantom 3 - For like 1400 bucks or so... store.dji.com/product/phantom-3-advanced But that big one with 4 rotors that almost outrun the car, is double the price...

we have a very basic regulation in Germany where we have to insure our drones, planes, choppers etc. with a minimum of €10.000.000... sounds crazy expansive, but in reality serious crashes are so rare that i only pay €15 per year. in addition, all my planes are insured with this annual payment

I don't understand why drones have become such a concern. RC helicopters and planes have been around for decades and no one was worried about them. Just because these are easier to fly doesn't make them more dangerous. If anything they are less dangerous.
This is super late to reply to, but, people are having a hissy-fit because drones have cameras, which makes it super easy to breach someone's privacy.

You can put a camera on a copter or plane.
Eaiser to fly means more people can fly them. More people that could potentially use them for evil.
Drones are far easier to hover with compared to RC helicopters or planes. They are designed for stability of flight.

It's a shame they didn't discuss that Transport Canada (since they are in Ontario) have had regulations concerning drones for years....
Asking the FAA to regulate anything that's not part of US airspace (usually 1,200 feet AGL or higher) is like asking them to fine anyone who throws a baseball through the air. You don't have to land a toy in the lawn of the Whitehouse to get something there. I don't believe they're a pressing issue at all as a pilot.

I would use the website more if it was more like a blog i.e. 9to5mac, although i do enjoy the unique website design i just think its harder to keep track of the latest news. Thanks to the Verge team!

Here in Portugal we need a permit to own a drone legally but there isn't any kind of training to obtain a drone piloting license or something like that... (Because there isn't such thing )
