The Autozam AZ-1 is more practical than a Suzuki Cappuccino. I said what I said. Come at me bro. LOL

  • If you're into making one of the ABC kei cars into a daily driver, the choice should be the AZ-1/Cara. I own both now and I find my Suzuki Cara / Autozam AZ-1 being more practical while looking snazzy for everyday use than the Cappuccino. I do admit the downsides are that maintenance is harder since it's not openly accessible as it is a midship layout MR vs front FR. They also do cost more but it's totally worth it.

    6:34 Comparison stuff, don't worry Cappuccino still fun.

    I got in a Suzuki Cara (David’s) for the first time and had a hard time lol! But you’re right, the Cappuccino is so much worse, specially when you’re getting old like me!😂

    Agreed except for trunk and legroom the Az-1 is superior. For wider shoulders the AZ-1 is way roomier. Cappuccino door intrude on shoulder

      The AZ-1 bucket seat holds you well. I am starting to get chunky enough to start be bigger than it. The Cappuccino seat is more flat with no bolstering so I overflow out of the seat however the high center console and the door become the seat bolsters lol

    What about getting a quick disconnect for the steering wheel? Pair that with a short hub and you should be good.

    • @AnythingWheeled
      @AnythingWheeled  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I bought one for my Cara so I can swap with smaller wheel for track days and back to large everywhere else.
      The disconnect for the Cappuccino would definitely help me a bunch.

      Come check out the hoard of AZ-1 datasets I have collected. Why? I dunno.

    The Cappuccino is a fine kei car, but it’s no AZ-1/Cara.🙂

      Correcto! Having both to be able to go about your day side by side makes it clear.

      5'10 32" inseam. I know plenty of 6 footer+ that own either car but I don't get how they can see out the front. The ones with the seat mods maybe but some have stock ones.

      I haven't tried but some of those are really long and probably won't fit at all. I like this one because it's about the size of a wide backpack.

    You have not mastered Tetris young man.
    I took the Cappuccino on a weekend away for labour day a few years ago, It was rainy on the way there, I had spare shoes and a jacket, 4 days of clothes, my laptop, a big hardcover book and my DSLR. I bought a couple of bottles and some small items. On the way back, it was sunny. *I had the roof and **_ALL_** my stuff in the trunk.*

    THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING FOR THE LAST SIX YEARS!! And people were laughing. Surely a micro Group C racecar can't be practical. It sho can. The amount of stuff you can put in this is nothing shorts of amaz-1ng... Take the passenger seat out (literally a one minute job) and you have kei-van that'll almost make your Mira Walkthrough jealous in terms of space.

    • @AnythingWheeled
      @AnythingWheeled  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ok no Mira walkthrough van space but definitely more fun. Turning that thing at speed greater than 45kph is downright spooky. I started my kei adventure on an AZ-1/Cara I don't know any better til I bought my Cappuccino. The AZ-1 is better in most usable ways. The biggest fault that always comes up as the explanation of why it's not is that it's expensive.
