Thanks a lot. As for that primer I separated the check valve from the pump, it's easy, and soaked it in warm soapy water for about 30 minutes and scrubbed it with an soft tooth brush. That cleaned a lot of gunk out and it's working now. It was your video that got me thinking and testing things so thank you!
I purchased a Fimco sprayer over 10 years ago, it worked great, and then two years later it quit working, I was told I should replace the Pump Check Valve, I replaced it and that took care of the problem, but now I have the same problem, and I wanted to let you know that your Video on using a garden hose to prime it fixed the problem! THANKS!, Let’s go Brandon
I have been frustrated with this the past few years and figured out the solution. Modify the sprayer to make it a constantly flooded pump so the pump has a gravity feed from the tank and it works! I think Fimco wants to sell check valves and that's why they manufacture them with pumps mounted higher on the tanks
Thanks! I went to use mine today and it's not pumping. I started looking for replacement pumps on Google and stumbled on your video. Hope this works for me!
Same exact problem with 4 different Fimco Pumps. I installed a "T" off the hose going to the pump that has a garden hose female connecter and an shutoff valve. Every time I use the sprayers, I hook up a hose to the "T" line (and open the spigot on the garden hose so there's prrssure) and then open the valve on the "T"...then turn on the pump. Pressure always builds and stays pressurized when the valve on the "T" is closed. Then I remove the garden hose and do the spraying. That "T" assembly has been in pls r for 3 different pumps over the last 15 years.

Backflushing with the garden hose got my check valves working. Thanks for the tip.

Glad the 313 could help
My unit is brand new. Used the wand once because of the priming issue. I’m going to give your solution a try. Nothing ventured, nothing lost.

Do you know how to get one of these apart?
Thanks bro gonna try these out
Hahaha! Love the video and it helped
I have a scintex sp12vhp200 and it has a HEAT issue. If it is not running TIRN IT OFF or it will only be pushing up daisies.
What website would I use to buy a primer for that
I owe you a beer
Glad it worked! I'll take that beer :)
313 for life!
This is more of a band aid then a fix.
Yes - they sell primers - not too hard to take apart so that is better option - this was more of "I got to get this done" video.
Well let’s see the “ PRIMER THING” you didn’t show how to fix anything.
Priming the pump for me allowed the sprayer to work - buy a new pump if u want auto priming to work :)
No flow fo show!!!
I have a priming issue, I blow compressed in the tank through the cap , work's , but still looking why
What?
