I like the Khanjira model, but TBH it is almost tiny in comparison to this one. There are excellent, comparably-sized Tarrasque models available on Etsy.
Hehe, you can certainly add in those abilities, but they don't exist in the stat block as written, and I'm not really sure if the tarrasque's intelligence is high enough to really understand throwing items at PCs. It's got the intelligence of a tiger. -Theo
@@TheGallantGoblin You might be right with throwing being bit over it's head (tho I still might say rule of cool to make fight more interesting) but again - if not throwing you have fantasy godzilla that can jump 40 feet in the air and swallow a wizard :) . And honestly if party meets Tarasque it's usually around end of any campaign they might be having so glorious death is also fun.
Dungeons And Lasers has amazing Tarrasque :) and price should bw way lower qhen they run their next kickstarter. Nice video tho. I need to use big T some time soon x3
I would definitely restore some of the pre-5e stuff to the Tarrasque. Regeneration (Wish required to kill it for good) and the power that prevents flight higher than 20ft within 200 ft of it.
FOLKS! Do not buy this mini when you could get the much higher detail model HAND PAINTED by Nanmu for $110. Its called Mordred and its just as big and FAR, FAR BETTER!
The Price just baffles me you can get a unpainted model from a slew of places and get it painted by someone else and still have money left over with how much they want for this. The fact that the fools gold one might even be bigger and you can get the base coat at least on it. Or just buy a big godzilla figure lol it may even have sound effects on that one.
How your describing the encounter is basically how the chardalyn dragon from icewind dale went in my game. And yes, I have the 'mini'. Edit: you started talking about icewind dale while I was typing.
Really love that the OG Colossal Red Dragon is still the King when it comes to it's towering size even compared to the new generation of huge and gargantuan minis.
Indeed not that I mind it upscale a bit but that gargantuan ring inside this one's 8x8 is the actual size of the terrasque so raw just half the dimensions of this guy
@@TheGallantGoblin it was against a party of 8 level 14 PCs, I think I downed 2 of them and then they used a wall of force to protect themselves long enough to cast a teleportation circle to get away
Not a huge fan of the mini. Looks a bit too... Action-figurey? Like, the way the arms and legs attach just doesnt make sense. Vastly prefer the design on the Dungeons and Lasers Tarrasque. ^^

Haha I just bought an unpainted one literally a few hours ago before I saw this on my feed. I'm laughing because of the "...not many people will be picking this guy up." Anyway I got the unpainted one at a decent price (245). Awesome video as usual! Edit: So it came today and yeesh. It's so big in person.....I knew it would be as, I felt with both Ancient Dragons and the Udaak (who is WAY bigger than I thought). Im running out of space with these colossal minis and all the Dwarven Forge 😂.
I would hate to be a player with a dm that had spent $400 on a mini. You're going to be fighting that many every week until the dungeon master thinks they got their money's worth
Great mini, great tips (especially the spine thing, seems like a no brainer. I'd add a throw ability like the giants have, an/or a line breath weapon of force that it can use, Godzilla style), great review. Terrible price. At that price you could have a custom one painted yourself. I mean I guess people must be buying, but it feels like at some point soon Wizkids has to hit the limit of what their market will bear. $400 is about $300 more than I'm willing to spend on something of this quality, and I haven't bought any of their latest entries with their massively inflated prices. Prior to that I was buying every release of these new large miniatures.

@@TheLastWhiteKid Sound's like a woman with a keen eye. Did you see the deluxe with the translucent back fins? Only like 10 dollars more. That's crazy, especially compared to the terrasque here, the deluxe is still less than half price. You know a wizkids deluxe model would add like 200 bucks. Happy birthday!
Because this mini is upscaled, for my terrasque encounter I treated it as if the terrasque had been hit by an enlarge reduce. I also doubled its range for its attacks, gave each attack 5 extra hit dice and quintupled its maximum hp and boy of that doesn't set this mini to proper scale in combat idk what else would aside from a proper scaled and calibrated collosal red
That Tarrasque figure looks great! Though I would've wanted that wizkids modeled the Tarrasque without the plastic stand to make it look cooler, but still a great looking figure.

In the video as already stated by the person above they said: "outside Tiamat and Bahamut the Tarrasque is the only CR30 creature in the game and 30 is as high as the scale goes". All of that is 100% true and is official legitimate rules. There are NO official published books/online sites of D&D by WotC of any other 5e monsters listed with a CR of 30, nor are there any at all with a CR of over 30. Any other monster in a D&D game with a CR of 30 besides those 3 or with a CR over 30 (31+) is homebrew and not official.

KHANJIRA THE WORLD BREAKER from Reaper is $35 dollars, when I bought it and essentially a Tarrasque. If people want a more affordable option.
Mordred from Nanmu if you don't have time to paint something. I prefer painting, but I cannot deny the skill and quality of the Nanmu sculpt.
I like the Khanjira model, but TBH it is almost tiny in comparison to this one. There are excellent, comparably-sized Tarrasque models available on Etsy.

Remember Tsrrasque should be able to throw boulders, trees, horses and houses at flying players ;) possibly jumping his 40+ feet up to chomp

I have one, bought about 18 years ago for less than half the price of these ripoffs.
I love this mini's sculpt to death but i hate the clear plastic bases, they just feel so cheap and limit the basing opportunities.

The fool's Gold canpaing's one is better
I gave the tarrasque in my game a 300 foot long, 15 foot wide breath weapon attack that deals 22d12 radiant damage lol. Godzilla corona beam!!!

What about that 400 Hit Toys Darth Vader that sits on the shelf? That never gets any "use" at all. Likewise this is also nice shelf piece
