It's not cocopeat. It's the size of the pot which you have selected. You have selected very big pot for gerbera.

It depends how much water u provide to gerbera plants. I use 40% coco peat 20% compost 20% soil and 20% sand on my gerberas and they are blooming great. The difference is I give water only when the soil is absolutely dry(almost once in 10 days).
Also perlite doesn't go with soil. They break into powder due to soil's pressure. 🙏

100percent true. My vine died because I made garden soil + cocopeat mix. Doesn't work in Rajasthan. Good for seedlings only.

Even i lost my gerbera plant due to fungus formation...u had given a detailed information bout it but dono how i did the mistake n my gerbera stems/stalk got rotten n totally spoiled😔

Last year mera b gerbera fungus lag k kharab hua tha....yahi reason hoga...maine b cocopit use kiya tha

Mam do one thing, plant ur all jerbera in cinder use cinder as a potting media and then 10 percent vermicompost sprinkle it on top. when you water the plants it will go inside.and u would ne surprised to see the results my gerbera is in cinder.

Mam rice husk or cowdung & vermicompost mein grow karsaktein hain.
Cocopeat is an over-rated thing not really needed. As a thumb rule, a mix of soil, coarse sand and vermi compost in the ratio of 33:33:33 plus bone meal and a fistful of neem/mustard cake is good for every flower.

If Cocopeat is not of good quality, it contains high level of sodium chloride & EC level ( it influences plants ability to absorb water ) which affects the plant growth.

Cocopeat is useless. Soil, sand and vermi compost in the ratio of 33:33:33 plus a fistful each of bonemeal and neem or mustard cake powder is good enough for most of the flowers.
cocopeat always needs to be soaked, washed and strained before use

I never used cocopeat I always used garden soil and dry cowdug it's very good for all type of flowers.

50 50 ratio of cow dung compost and cocpt. Water only once a week. Good for this plant

मने एक गुलमोहर घर मे जमीन मे लगया है जो मे नर्सरी से लाया था, काफी अच्छा है लगभग 6फीट का हो गया है रोज नयी growth होती है पर मने सुना हा गुलमोहर ज्यादा सर्दी बरदास्त नही करपातआ अगर पौधा भौत young है तो हमारे यन्हा राजस्थान मे सर्दी मे पारा minus मे चला जातआ है तो म इस्से सर्दी से बचाने के लिये क्या कर सकता हु plz reply करे धन्यवाद् ।।🙏🙏 plz रिप्लाई

I killed my Gerebera Plant because of COCOPEAT. I Bought the farm from highly reputed company in Pune, they grow the pant is Cocopeat (They used control environment). But I forgot to report, being a novice gardener and it killed all my Gerebera.. I think road side Gerbera plant is better than the Plant grown in Highly controlled Environment.
