Hello Sir, I am trying to grow plants from the seeds in this season. During this process I am facing lot of problems. Small seeds like petunia, poppy they are so small and after germination planta are so weak and small that they are not lasting or dying. another problem is can't understand the amount of water. stems are rotting. How to get rid of these problems if you could suggest.
Stems rotting, that's fungus - damping-off most likely. Use Trichoderma Viride when planting seeds. Water the seed tray with Tricho 5gms to a litre solution. Its organic. For potting small seeds, esp for us small gardeners, first strain or sieve equal quantities of coco-peat/sand and some vermicompost. Don't have? Then sieve garden soil and coco-peat/sand, in equal qtys. Spread evenly on a tray (4 in depth at a minimum). Water with Tricho water till it starts to drip out. Wait half and hour till all the extra water has dripped out. Gently scatter the seeds over this now flat surface and cover with a fine coating of the sieved soil mix. Cover with a newspaper and open after four days to check for sprouting. Moisten , if required. As sprouting starts, remove the newspaper. Do not fertilize, you'll get leggy seedlings.
Sir you have removed whole root ball of a plant which in flowering condition,so i dont think it will keep growing,if root ball is damaged plant will die!
Dear Sir, please do consider organic methods. For the health of gardeners and the environment. Trichoderma species (esp Harzarium) and Pseudomonas Flourescens are excellent bio fungicides besides promoting plant and root development. Azadirachtin, Azapower from Iffcobazaar or Theeta from Aimco Pesticides, is a superb bio-pesticide, for spraying and soil drenching. And all these are safe for bees and earthworms! Neem oil emulsion remains a great preventative. I use these to grow Gerberas, in a light soil mix, with a microbe rich fertilizer and the results over the past 8 months have been great.

If you can shift the plants its good or water your plant thoroughly the next day

Water it heavily once and let the fertilizer flow out from the drainage hole for five minutes

Neem oil act as good insecticide and is fully organic. Use vermi compost amd neemcake powder at the time of repotting any plant

I use cocopeat and it works very well, a third of cococ-peat, soil and compost. Did you wash out the cocopeat?
