@@DitchPandaBassFishing quick side note on the through hull…, you should be able to graph the lake regardless of the speed your going with a clear picture. Might have to turn the graph speed up though. I can’t remember.
Looking to do something similar on my Yamaha F24 with stepped transom. How was your readings on plane? I was under the impression the ducer needed to hang down just a scooch past dead bottom to get a good reading. What did you see while up on plane and WOT?

I knew that. When I mounted mine, I used a straight edge along the hull and the transducer. Hull mounts are the way to go though.
If you're around shallow stuff, it is the deal for sure. BTW, best pic I've seen in along time seeing you fishing with the boys 🤙

You can also White nail polish to mark your holes on a Black surface..
Was it one of the big so cal boat shops (AM or LC) who did the original install?
