I live in NC and do not have Duke Energy. These lights do not put out enough light to do the job, so what's the deal? That spectrum of light is harsh and damaging to vision! I'm from here in PA, and would like to know the name of the manufacturer or the specific part numbers to pass onto our electrical co-ops to help them avoid this batch. we're just getting swapped to LED bulbs for lot, street, and safety lights ourselves.
They aren't replacing/fixing these lights, and you won't find the manufacturer. They are being spread all over the world, not just the Americas. We can see by now that they are clearly up to something. Blue light disrupts sleep and triggers alpha waves in the brain. It reminds me of the demoralization attempts that occur before a totalitarian gov't takeover. We even have "blue light filters" on our electric displays because of how bad blue light is. An electric filter that sifts out the blue light. Why would that be?
Better thing is not to switch to LED at all. The whole LED seems totally wrong as with headlights and with streetlights. Keep HPS, they are much better for human health.

LED's are stock in most vehicles, now, and all commercial businesses have since switched or atuomatically get the bulbs as upgrades. with this being a blackout prone area (due to most lines being under or next to treelines), they put up with power surges better than any sort of filament bulbs. since this is a co-op, the rate for kilowats is actually pretty high, as well.
LED streetlights are full of chips. the bulbs them selves are chips and the drivers (ballasts) contain chips. remember you can't just connect LED'S , HID lamps or fluorescent lamps up to the mains.
They are much easier on the eyes .....Leave them! Bright white / amber - yellow = hurt my eyes as well as bluring my vision for a few seconds. *** Just remember texting or looking at your phone , for just a second can cause an accident, etc .. Leave the lights they are much better for Clarity as well.

Just as an FYI this is due to failing LEDs. Either the LED chip's peak wavelength has shifted too low to properly stimulate the phosphors (usually overvoltage or overheating) or the phosphor coating has degraded or delaminated from the LED package. Either way, STOP REPLACING THEM! They are simply awesome.
@@mxr248 Did you not read my post? Hook one up to a power supply and crank it up beyond 3V. They do not properly stimulate the phosphor due to the wavelength shifting more towards blue instead of ultraviolet. We had ones in the parking lot near us that turned a very vivid shade of blue instead of the purple.
