We really do need to trust in the Lord with ALL our heart. Anything less and we lose ground in our heart, we literally lose heart to the world, ourselves and the Enemy. Where I am in Canada we have a lot of priests coming from Africa and India (I guess due to shortage of Canadian priests and increased demand from parishes). They are very holy, devout and tradition-minded. I am thankful for them.
As a deacon of the Lord Jesus' holy Church, I have served with many priests and bishops. Only about 5% of them showed any sense of holiness, patience, or kindness. Please pray for priests and bishops, that they might repent and begin to walk the way to perfection.
I believe that we need to hear well balanced sermons about God’s love AND his justice in order to become strong again. I am 69 years old and I have heard little talk from the pulpit about God’s judgement for sin. It appears that we have become like spoiled children whose parents have withheld discipline out of a false understanding of love.

I am trying to discern whether to tolerate a new priest assigned to our parish and under the direction of the Bishop is to modernize our parish. This list of changes is long and announced on the first Sunday. We had a very holy Priest who taught us well and offered the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass ad Orientem with pure reverence, we had a Greogorian choir a Sunday evening Mass, all this and more is taken away now.
