    Finally someone showcased how these look and line up from behind.

    Thank you for bringing up the “fatal flaw”. I thought I had built mine incorrectly, it was quite frustrating until I realized it was, n my opinion, a designer error. It’s easily fixable by replacing the barn door with a minifigure stand.

    Thank you for the inspiration! I love that the temple came along with the Gardens, but it can be problematic finding a place for it that isn't awkward. Your solution at 6:35 of placing it at the center between both corner sets looks fantastic. I never considered that option because the walkways don't connect, but I'm thinking it'll be worth some minor modifying because this layout looks the best to me.

    Thank you for showing these combos off! I’ll never own all of these so this is the only way I can experience this fun!

    Don't know about the others, but for sure Gardens should be connecting to Markets on the left of Markets (when facing the front of the sets). To me, it appears that the order should be:
    Gardens -> Markets -> City -> Docks.
    Docks would be connected to Ninjago City in such a way so that the City forms an L shape (with the aesthetically pleasing part of Docks facing inward). This looks like it was intended to be this way by LEGO once you look at the city from the back. Markets, City, and Docks together form a canal for boats to sail through. And this does not seem accidental. The Gardens temple build should also be connected to Gardens in such a way that it forms an L shape on it's side.
    On top of all that, the world being presented to you by these modulars also don't make sense being laid out all in a row. It actually looks ridiculous conceptually to have four Ninjago modulars and a side build connected all in a row. There are no sidewalks or roads. There shouldn't be. This is a water city. My 2 cents.

      Yeah I'm building the markets right now, planning on trying the rectangle. I like how it will look more 3D if that makes sense.
      But I just moved to a new appartment, so now I have to build all the rest too lol.

      The fact that no one even mentions the L shaped arrangement is lowkey kind of infuriating, to me it just seems to be one of the best designs too- from the oldest to thr newest

    Yes corner builds in middle looks good you should move docks next to markets on that version

  • @stilli2564

    Thanks for showing all these combinations 👍I did the combination from left to right: Gardens - Markets - City - Docks. That means the Docks and the Temple Part is "behind" the City and Gardens, but for that combination you need way more space in depth and the possibility to look also from the side for a good view on the Docks. I have also placed the 70618 Destiny`s Bounty behind the Markets, you can see through the Markets in the background 😍. The design flaw I have fixed with an additional "collectable minifig Stand 3x4 plate" and a 1x3 plate instead of the door part thing. To me it looks great because of the depth, but the space you need for that could be a problem, for this combination you need at least 102 by 64 cm space.

    Recommend you to incorporate City of Lantern set with BrickArtisan’s extension to make it compatible with these sets then do a two row configuration.

      Eventually. At this point, we basically have 2 corners and 2 straights, so hopefully they come out with a corner next. Still, if they come out with one every other year, we will be waiting a while before completing the whole block. Unless we build customs.

      @@buildingtogether4171yeah or you could connect these with regular modulars too in order to get a complete square. You could just make a 16x32 custom build that transitions the walkways from a regular modular to a ninjago modular. That's what I'm currently trying to di

    I put my Markets on the Gardens Set. 1 old Ninjago city, docks, gardens and markets so i have a 90 degree angle hope for more sets to come. I wish they go aroubd and make a bridge where the destinys Bounty could ride underneath to the city. I wish this will become a great Ninjago Bay.
