The last two years my buddies and I have done a guided Striper trip out at Texoma and it is a freaking blast! This year we even caught fish cast after cast from the bank at our campsite the night before we went out on the boat.

I love that lake. Caught our limit on Stryper in an hour last time. We caught some big ones on topwater.
My favorite fish to target, I’m definitely biased because they live in my backyard but man on light tackle they are so much fun, truly blessed they live in Marylands Chesapeake for half the year

need to get OSG back out there fishing again. my wife and i have been long time subs. we both loved watching yall fish together/ and being so competitive back in the good old days. lol nothing like good love and competition lol.
Funny thing is, I knew you were going to Texoma from the picture and your map (Hwy 82) lol. Texoma is a fantastic lake for Stripers!!! Went back in April and limited out by 10am. Brought them home and made cast iron, deep fried filets for my wife and daughter!!!
I want to the Colorado River once north of Yuma and we caught a bunch of catfish and stripers. Made a plate of catfish and a plate of stripers for the group. Everyone compared the two and at the end of the meal all the striper was gone leaving half a plate of catfish. The striper completely outshined the catfish.

If you stay off that skin about a 1/4 inch when cleaning striper it will get rid of a lot of that red meat that was on top of the fillets, nice fish love the videos man keep it up

Striper is the best eating fish beside walleye. Soooo flaky. Baked or fried doesn't matter. It's always a winner in our house. Lucky I'm able to slay these tasties on the reg
I would recommend you try some Binks Spoons For those stripers they kick ass. I’ve caught a lot of 30lbs stripers on them and the fights are unreal

To each there own but that striper taste way better if you cut all that red out just angle your knife kinda cut diagonal towards the lateral line got to have a really sharp knife striper and hybrid is great fish to eat i just prefer to get rid of the dark red part

You should try a Nichols' magnum flutter spoon. We caught 8 that were 5-9 lbs on lake Murray this past Saturday, just drop it to the bottom and rip it back up

You should keep an 8wt fly rod rigged up with a a popper or clouser minnow to cast into schools when they are crashing the surface...that would be a fight you'd never forget.

Tear the skin off with a edge of the knife blade pinched with your thumb then cut along the high side of the side bones, slice flat against the bones up to the back cut. Then lift the filet and slice flat to the tail.

I have had nothing but issues with the high port kiosk. fish they would just use the old method of honor system and give us launch stickers back. backing out of that spot is an absolute nigh mare and even worse when there are boats behind you

I’m curious about the health dept down there in Texas about the quantity of fish they recommend eating due to pollutants. Ohio recommends 1 meal per week from Lake Erie.
