Wow - this really hit home. I'm 12 weeks into recovering from a mountain bike accident and have experienced a similar level of community support to what Kevin did. Kevin's right -- family and community are super important when something happens that you're not prepared for.
While I'm no pro, getting out and DSLR videoing my son's music performances from a wheelchair was definitely a therapeutic experience!
