It would be tough for me to tell what my absolute favorite Beethoven sonata would be, but the 30th really warms my heart Today I almost cried listening to it 🥲 Btw, I don't know about you, but I quite like Kempff's interpretation
It's fun because I start studying this sonata 2 weeks ago and I was looking for the execution of Arrau with the sheet, and you published it. Thanks. P.S. Good work.
Excellent performance and masterful interpretation. Touches the heart. Being able to follow the musical score deepens the experience. Unsurpassed. Thank you.
@@calebhu6383 what do you think of tempo choices of this piece overall? Because ı have seen somewhere that beethoven calls it a little work (in duration probably), considering it came after 29th that makes sense but after checking Gould's short live performance, altough i like this performance better, Gould's performance choices makes more sense to me
I like Arrau’s tempo here especially with the third movement.
Beethoven never fails to wow me
my favorite beethoven sonata

"Beethoven" is what happens to your mind when everything else doesn't work any more

Grandiosa... complimenti maestro Arrau..
I can't believe I'm saying this, but . . . this is a Beethoven piece I previously had *not* heard! 😅
This gives me a reason to live, so I can click play.

😂this is my favorite sonata
Totally pedestrian performance. Too slow, no transcendance in variation 6.
I like the term "pedestrian" :) :)
But have you ever heard a non-pedestrian performance from Arrau?
Can you play it for us so we know?
Ahhhhh la trascendencia .....creo que Arrau y Beethoven la tenían de sobra.
Completely L take 💀 Claudio Arrau making a “pedestrian” recording of anything
