If people are not getting good consumption after the software update you need to check if the car is not leaking any coolant it will be a reddish pink colour. A lot of cherry 4s from the specific batch came with faulty clamps so the anti freeze is not circulating properly making the engine consume more petrol. I just sorted mines out and the immediately after sorting it out the car has more torque and the fuel consumption dropped dramatically.
Awesome, thanks for letting me know. I will definitely let people know about that and also pass it on to the technicians at Chery Midrand. Which clamps specifically?
I’m not sure specifically which ones, but quite a few people whom I know who have bought a tiggo 4 had the same problem as me. Before I bought my car I borrowed one from one of the dealers at centurion who had the spec below the elite and his consumption was below 8l per 100km. So before I collected my car they did the update and I was just getting to around 9litres. After the 5000km service it was still the same. But I noticed the antifreeze leaking when the car was parked one weekend. And according to the guy who washes my car it was dripping now and then for a while. I took it to cherry centurion thereafter. They told me that they had to change some clips and topped up the coolant. As soon as I pulled out of the dealership, the car was driving better and also the consumption is now 7.3litres after 100km of driving since getting it back and this is while on sports mode and not driving slow.
Gonna give you some updates on the Cherry 4. So if people are not aware, Cherry has the my Cherry service included which covers scratches, dents, drop of services and also a courtesy car when dropping you car off for a service.
That is correct, Chery offers a few services with the purchase of a new vehicle. You can get the standard services, but you can also upgrade to higher options as well if you want to.
It's really dependent on how long you drive and if you use all the facilities like music through TH-cam or SPOTIFY. I use everything constantly and driving a lot, and my phone uses lots of APPs from triplog book, waze maps and to some apps that run constantly. The main thing depends on what you run on your cell, but for the wireless, it uses Bluetooth like usual, so it's not too bad. By the time I get home, it's around 30%. That's from 6h00 to about 16h00, but if I'm going out later in the evening, then I will charge the cell off the charger port for about an hour or so. The only advantage of using the cable is that it permanently charges your phone.
If you are in an accident, it'll help for insurance. Especially if someone pulls in front of you and tries to commit fraud. It's also good for your protection if a cop tries to give you a ticket for no reason. I do close to 250km a day in Gauteng, and I've had many cops try to give me a ticket for no reason. I say to them,..." pls give me the ticket, and I'll go to the courts with my evidence and ill see them there." That's when they normally tell me to drive. They know if it comes out as illegal issuing of tickets, all their tickets they've issued will be investigate. It's mainly to protect yourself.

Other people I spoke to had the same problem and same results after fixing the same issue. And they were all 2024 models bought.

Was there today at edenvale, no C9 as yet.
Thanks very much. Hopefully they'll be asked to organise one soon.
Hi, does the USB port in the back power off with the car, or is it always on?
@hendriksr it is just like all the USB ports, it switches off as soon as the car is switched off.
What is the cellphone battery usage like with the wireless android auto?
