I agree completely, but it's not a "they" thing, as the whole court drama plainly shows. It's a "he" thing. Dude's a solo artist with a hired band, like Rob Zombie.
It's as much a "they" thing as any other band with a single central figure that does 90% of the creative work.
Some ghouls have been there for a pretty long time too. I believe the singer that does the backing vocals has been the same for all their albums. For the guitarists, bassist, drummer and keyboardists it’s a little harde to recognize them, because they never really talk and of course they always wear their masks, but I think one of the guitarist has been the same since the beginning of the band, or a least for a long time. But these are all just theories though....

I was into a lot of metal when I heard about Ghost, like 8 years ago, I thought they were super heavy, but when I found out they weren't I passed on them. Now that I'm not just in one genre, I gave a try to Mary On A Cross and OMG I fell in love with them. I'm a fan for about 3 months. Lesson learned: The fact that something sounds different doesn't make it bad.
The transition from his speech to Kiss the Goat was so smooth and professional.
They are so damn good.

What I love baout this is that you have to give big props to the nameless ghoul's backing vocals during their performances. They're always so good.
Also just how each person is so expressive even behind the masks. Even when they all join hands you can feel the different personalities. Top quality performances all around

I agree 100 % ! I was hoping someone else mentioned this. Their harmonies are always spot on. I love their energy! They are absolutely professional yet they have loads of fun on stage. And we are lucky enough to witness it. I think they are in the top 1% of stage bands out today. And the theatricality is perfect! It's not campy but still fun. Some bands take themselves way to seriously when they break out. And I belive that's why so many bands break up.
This might sound weird but their backing vocals on Kiss the Goat sounds sexy

It may look like that but it is almost impossible to catch a pick mid air. You have to be so(!) damn lucky you would never even try that on stage in this situation. (Playing myself guitar in bands for over ten years)
Also no professional guitarist surprisingly goes out of picks at a gig.

amazingly late reply for this, but they usually throw them out to the crowd as souvenirs from the show :D this year they were VERY generous with that!
You really do see how much they appreciate their fans and care about putting on the best show possible. They are just so classy. I hope I get to see them live some day. Thank you for sharing this.
It's why they do it. Other bands may do concerts to sell records. Ghost sells records to draw a big enough audience to be able to do arena concerts. Arena rock concerts has been the passion of the front man/band leader since he was a little boy. ...And today 2022, they're really, really big.
The way they treat their fans and the care of live performance is amazing :)

Let me tell you, this video doesn't even capture a tenth of the energy of this show. There were two people between me and the barrier when I went to this very performance, and I can promise you that my taint was real fricking tickled

This 3 of my Top 5 Songs by this band. Macabre was the first song and then as I listen to more songs the more I realize how much I like this band. Last 2 CD have been great start to finish..
This is similar to me as well. Ghost came on the radio and I was like, "Is this an 80s tribute band? Badass." Then I went home and watched the video and I thought, "Cool, it's about vampires!" As I kept going down the rabbit hole I began to realize it's kind of like a love letter to Satan and Scooby-Doo at the same time.

I cannot remember being as hyped as I am about Ghost in the last decade about any band. Seen them live in Poland in Feb 2020 just before Covid outbreak and even though I had to go to the other end of my country to do so and then travel back during a cold winter I regret nothing. Easily one of the best things about 2020 for me.
I hope someday in the future I have enough money to be able to travel and see them live.. Thank you for uploading this so I have at least a glimpse of what it could be like.

I really like it when Tobias plays with the guitarists behind them, and then in front, he claps his hands lol. It's really funny, also when the two guitarists joke with each other it's nice. I think this is only possible and fun to see, due to the use of masks, since they are more comfortable on stage. They are brutal and perfect at what they do, and happy. Top of the Galaxy!!! That's Ghost!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
These are the PERFECT songs for an encore, hope they never change it! Kiss the Go-Goat just has great harmonies in the Pre-Chorus and is great for singing along - Dance Macabre is a f*cking good upbeat song - and Square Hammer is the most powerful banger one can imagine.
There's kind of an increasing dynamic in these 3 songs that I cannot describe: These fluid transitions between the songs with drum rolls and fog, konfetti and lighting on point - it's just fantastic. And the end with the gold sparkles and white light is soooo epic - the whole setup is a masterpiece!

I was at that show and it was so entertaining and so powerful my two friends who had come with me enjoyed themselves. Cardinal was engaging and very amusing and I can't wait to see them again.

I saw Ghost Live with Nothing More October 26th. Ghost will go down as one of the funnest and one of my favorite concerts I've ever been too!

Maybe Tobias is easing up on them since they have been doing it for so long and he, I believe, is a control freak. So if they're doing what he wants on stage, then they are more relaxed instead of worrying about getting it right? Just grabbing straws.
Tobias is very controlling...he set this band exactly how he wanted it!!! and in my opinion, he made perfection!! it should be an honor to preform with this band...and the Ghouls wear masks so they can be easily fired and replaced!! But at the same time...they a ghouls, so really they should be doing their own thing...but he's Papa Emeritus which translated to English...means Zombie Pope!!
This tour was a big one. Was reading gonna take off 2 years. Sounds like a new album maybe.
I mean hell, they went from Rats on the Road, to a Pale Tour Called Death, the added Europe dates, to touring with Metallica, and right back to the US for The Ultimate Tour Named Death. They've been going almost nonstop since May of 2018. Forge already confirmed there won't be another tour until 2021, with 2020 being reserved for working on and releasing the next big studio album.

My wife and I took my six year old daughter and unfortunately she was tired, cranky and had to pee, so my wife’s knee jerk reaction was to leave 4 songs from the end to avoid further issues with my daughter being grouchy. However, I don’t think I’ll forgive leaving a ghost show early.
