You almost made me shed a tear. i just though of Maruki's feelings while having to fight the people he wished to save.
Thats some deep stuff man...... this would be perfect for a scenario like that. The idea reminds me of those undertale AU's
It would've sounded pointless, but it would've been so cool if they gave you a choice before the battle to pick who you play as, or if you chose to accept the new reality you have to fight Akechi and the other theives as Joker with Maruki as your other party member
@@klusterfuk3688 that would be an awesome scenario especially if they had it scripted to where you lose (in a way) and it came down to joker vs. Akechi again in a reversed fate type of thing.

god yeah. I've heard Billy (Maruki's VA) sing before and it's REALLY similar.
Undoubtedly the best battle track in Royal.
Truly incapsulates the tragic nature of Maruki's character.

@@Spectralll For some it would definitely be better than our current reality. However, I believe that without conflict we can't grow as people. If everything is perfect there is no need to better yourself. So I'd rather stay in the og reality.

I can feel Maruki's frustration, he really knows what he wants is wrong, but even with all his determination, he needs to be stopped.
It's sad think that what triggered this was what happened to his girlfriend.

I feel like I can hear parts of the texture I didn't even notice in the original, like the backing vocals or the soft oooo's in the verse.

It's funny how well Lyn's voice "translates" to this. Shihoko Hirata (the P4 singer)'s voice doesn't convert nearly as well, this almost seems like it's just someone else's voice.
