Star Trek Discovery was amazing. Captain Georgiou was an awesome character but her mirror universe counterpart, Emperor Philippa Georgiou Augustus Iaponius Centariu, is INCREDIBLE. Michelle really elevated the humorous badass Emperor in Star Trek Discovery season 1-3. I was sad when she was sent through a portal to a different universe in another time never to return again in order for her life to be saved. She seemed invincible until she wasn’t. It was heartbreaking seeing Burnham lose Philippa twice, even though she wasn’t the same Captain Philippa she lost in season 1 episode 2. I hope this movie does Philippa’s past (future since she jumped back from the 32 century) justice.
She is so amazing. Absolutely loved seeing in each scene while watching Star Trek: Discovery, and definitely am looking forward to watching Section 31, if I can get a Paramount+ in Canada? Or will it be on our CraveTV, which is where every other Star Trek is in Canada... Canada can be a bit of a pain when it comes to streaming. But rest assured, I will be watching it.
Best Picture is for the producers and Best Film is for the director, I think. It's kind of like at the Grammys Best Song and Best Record go to the artist and songwriter(s) respectively (I may have that reversed)

That doesn't stop other films in the series getting awards, of course. Also, levels of competition vary from category-to-category.

“Fan favorite” - as far as I know, fans are not big fans of the character Michelle plays in Star Trek, and they green lit this spin off before realizing Trek fans don’t tend to go for “anti heroes,” because Star Trek is very concerned with ethics and morality. Now, Michelle Yeoh is fantastic and I wish she had a better character to play. I think Section 31 is a mistake as it is trying to scratch an itch Trek fans don’t tend to have - but I could be wrong. I hope I am wrong.
I sincerely hope Section31 is going to be great, but I suspect it's going to be like Discovery, Picard, New worlds, etc... boring and forgettable. I love trek since TNG, when I grew up.. and I haven't seen actual Star trek in a long time now.
IMO Discovery was so good in its first 2 or 3 seasons but only became boring when they turned it into traditional trek. And I say this as loving traditional trek.
Michelle Yeoh is honestly so talented and has a radiant spirit about her. I wish her continued happiness and success!
I like how she hugged every member of the View. She is amazing and I love her.
