as a girl who has dug a hole that has pestered my entire family due to the inconvenient location: hole digging unites *all* teenagers
in elemementary school, after a reading of "holes," I got the entire class digging for artifacts in the sandy dirt area behind the outdoor gym pavillion thingy at recess. everyone loves diggin a hole.
hole-ly moly, that must have been quite a big hole! Specially if it affected ur hole family.
I actually broke through a concrete block while digging once. It was like an inch thick. This hole was also in an inconvenient location.
I’m very sick of ppl being like “ah yes, diggy hole and big ass sticks can only be appreciated by man” like no?? Anyone who can find joy in the little things in life can like all of these supposed man only things.
I'm a teenager right now, but when I was a kid, I dug a hole so damn big my whole family couldn't go back home for 1 hour because my grandpa's car wheel got completely sunk in the trap I made because I wanted to dig more holes in that 1 hour

As a woman, i can confirm...i like digging holes for no reason, and i still leap at the opportunity to dig one. We'd been digging holes for no reason since we were children.
During a sports camp two years ago, me and some friends dug a massive hole on a beach. Along with other dumb things, we had trench warfare in the hole and smaller trenches made with the sand. I CAN confirm that both girls and boys equally participated at the Battle of Donner Lake.
i as a girl have joined in on the mega hole before as well. lots of girls love the big hole it's not just a boys thing.

As a girl who grew up by the beach, I can attest to the fact that I do indeed enjoy digging a giant hole in the sand for almost no reason. Usually I just do it because it's fun and I like to chill in it once I'm done. Deepest i ever got on my own was around 6ft deep. I got stuck in it once I realized the hole was so deep I couldn't see the outside anymore while standing.

As an Autistic Adult i 100% get that kid saying how he loves a long hot shower, me too. And no Robin Baths are not the same! The sensation of getting rained on by those nice hot relaxing droplets is what we are feeling, and the steam that surrounds us, it is a symphony of sensation that takes all the stress away.

When I was younger (like 5-6 years old) my friends and I dug an absolutely massive hole in our school over like half a year. When I say big I mean like genuinely fkn huge, not deep tho.
The school was sick and let us do it, I think our reasoning is we were digging for "rare gems" aka quartz. One day we came to school to a bunch of machinery digging there to make a sandpit.
I'm not sure if it's entirely true or not but the school said they dug there cause we had already dug out a pretty sizeable hole in that area.

I used a literal perspective while you used an abstract one, but it essentially boils down to wishing that they never again spread their poison in the world of the living, literally as a person, or figuratively as an ideology.
I haven't accidentally walked in on my parents, but I do have a similar story.
So, about a year and a half ago, I was heading over to one of my great friends, which I did very often so it wasnt anything out of the ordinary, but this one time, I guess I missed that her boyfriend had come over, I didn't bother knocking since neither of us ever did, and as soon as I entered the room it took me a second to realize what was happening. Boy, it was awkward between us for a while.

When it comes to adding things to ice cream, the key is to select mild flavors. You want something that tastes good but won't override the underlying flavor. This is why I normally use stuff like pancake syrup; it tastes good but it doesn't take over the flavor of the ice cream.

I accidentally started an elementary school mining corporation. It was recess, and there was a sandpit. The entire school had recess at the same time, and there really wasn't that much to do. I picked up a stick and started digging a hole in the sandpit. After maybe 10 minutes of this, I already had a hole I could sit in. A kid came up to me, and asked if he could join. He said he would be back with some friends. Fast forward to administration getting involved because the hole was deep enough to fit a standing person and wide enough for three. The entire process was sped up by the fact that once we got deep enough, all that was left was wet clay, which could be picked up by the handful. Looking back, I understand why they made us stop, because nearly the entire sandpit was now a 5 1/2 foot hole, and a mountain of clay to the side.

i can confirm the urge to dig holes. i wish to dig holes and tunnels and dig a particularly long and twisting one that anyone trying to follow me into would get lost and loose their mind trying to find their way out of. i want to drag blankets and stuffing from pillows into the tunnel to have a comfortable place to sleep. i want to terrorize the people lost in the tunnels by moving around and making them think i’m leading them to an exit, but still be too fast for them to catch up to. i want to lead them deeper into the tunnels.

Its definitely ALL humans. Humans have an lizard brain instinct of digging to find food/water, so even as kids, we sometimes just get the urge to dig, even though we're not actually looking for food/water anymore.
Also there's a study that digging makes us happy, something about the microbes and certain scents cause serotonin production to be triggered.
