    Excellent review, Rick. I am 100% in agreement with you. I'm very happy with my new Goldstrike Highway Pegs. I bought them because I have a 29" inseam and other pegs were just a bit too much of a stretch to be comfortable. The immense amount of adjustment available was intimidating at first. I had to adjust, ride, readjust, and try again until I hit the Goldilocks position. The way my feet don't feel like they want to slide off is the best part of using these pegs. Thanks for the informative video.

    The best pegs available in my opinion. I installed RIVCO’s first, but my boots slipped off the end just like you said.

    Good video Rick. Looks like you can stretch out pretty well. Do you have them in the position farthest from the rider? With a 33" inseam not sure if they will work.

      Hey there, Rick doesn't have these in the farthest position and has a smaller inseam, so there should be enough room for you. We recommend you check with Goldstrike just to be sure.

    Nice review. This kit is my next toy to order. It is a must for tall riders. The pegs with my Utopia backrest and I am a king.

      @@WingStuffTV Hi guys, going to install it soon. Just got the kit. I was so surprised that no one is bringing up the use of blue Locktite on most of the hardware. The fact that we do not have to torque should bring an alarm with engineering to ask or provide the use of at list blue LT. I honestly think it is a mistake. A bottle of mini LT runs $5.00. Other then that, the kit is very well made and fitting is perfect. Keep up the good work.

    At 1:08 in the video, it appears these pegs are at an offset with the right peg further away than the left. Common with many peg designs for the wing, but these would seem to have enough adjustment to alleviate that. True ?

    • @WingStuffTV
      @WingStuffTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rick's pegs are set evenly on both sides. However, with these you do have the ability to adjust them to fit to your comfort, including moving them forward and back.

    Nice video Rick, what brand floorboards do you have installed? Along with the highway pegs I’d like a larger area for my big feet to rest on.

    Question for you; where did you get all of the chrome covers? They are beautiful! I've always said the Gen 6 Wings needs to have more chrome on it. Your bike looks amazing!

    • @WingStuffTV
      @WingStuffTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most (if not all) of the chrome on the Wing is from Goldstrike. Here are a few vids of us making over the bike with Goldstrike products: th-cam.com/video/MOjf4Pu4SEk/w-d-xo.html

      Hey James, thanks for your question. Those are Goldstrike Chrome Frame Covers: wingstuff.com/products/31421-heated-comfort-grips
      Additionally, we've found that many of our customers, when purchasing the Goldstrike Frame Covers, also get the Goldstrike Twinart chrome side covers to complete the look: wingstuff.com/product/twinart-side-covers

    As with most owners, im unsure which highway pegs to get for my new '21, but these are looking like the best out there from what ive seen so far. In the position Rick has them, it seems most likely they will flip up in the inevitable event of a tipover, and the crashbars plastic cover will hit first and destroy itself before the crashbar does its job. Is this in fact the case ?
    Every other Highway peg ive looked at seems like it will sacrifice itself first in a tipover !
    Im only talking about a stationary tipover, such as idiots like myself are fully capable of.

    • @WingStuffTV
      @WingStuffTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your question. If you were to accidentally drop your bike from a stationary position, the pegs would most likely break from the force of the fall, especially with how heavy the Gold Wing is. We can't say for sure because we haven't seen it (or done it) ourselves but it's likely. Obviously, in the event of a crash while riding, the pegs would almost certainly break. However, if you gently lower the bike onto its side in a controlled manner you can do so without the pegs suffering any sort of damage. Hope this helps and ride safe!

    Where did you get your boots

    • @WingStuffTV
      @WingStuffTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They're TCX brand riding boots/shoes, which is a great brand we used to carry on WingStuff. I don't believe they make this particular model any longer but it was a part of their Urban line.
