While old Lord X sprite was just a scary face, this one has The Joker's vibes. His expression just screams that he tortured Tails/Alan for a while and really enjoyed it
I do prefer this one. I like the Sprites for both. Althought, his first phase should feel more "cartoonic" after all the guy is having fun torturing tails. More free movements to the Sides of the notes should do the trick. But eh pretty damn good job!

It’s not tails it’s someone else trapped in tails body due to the lore. Forgot his name but that’s why the other song was called vessel because lord x is using his soul and trapping it in new hosts

I prefer the old remastered sprites for his disguise. They just feel more sinister. His second phase/ true form didn’t really need a revamp imo. I really liked it but this revamp is also very good. I would keep the old revamp but add his new design for his true form.

It was more of a puppet if anything which is what it was probably trying to give off. The old remastered version was to give a more sinister approach while maintaining the unsettling feeling. Along with giving his disguise more life to it and making it look more detailed. This one kinda does the same but it not as much as the other one imo. Also it’s to match the style which is fine I guess.

@stuffland4371 the way he just has the same face,barely moves,and has that creepy lord x voice,while at the same time looking alot like sonic with not much to stand out just makes him seem like some possessed corpse so it gives you the feeling that somethings not right
While i do think the old remaster has a lot more variety and character, This definitely lends itself to be cleaner and smoother Not to mention detailed
Personally, I think these a great high quality sprites, but that quality should've gone into redoing the previous rework. The faker poses from before were better in the sense that they were sketched by JoeDoughBoi (the creator of lord x), but the linework was a tad sloppy. It would've been great to see this quality go into redoing those poses

The good things about this reskin is that it still remains part of the original mod not stripping all flesh and characterization from it 1:54 the entire lord x head sprite was a major upgrade from being a fluffy blood hedgehog to a head of a hedgehog you can clearly tell is a threat You don’t feel like squeezing it you don’t feel like you can dropkick it and get away *You don’t think you can survive when seeing this irl*

My only critique for this reskin is that Lord X's first phase sprites all stay in roughly the same position throught all the directions. This can work well for a character that doesn't move much. But Lord X fits better when he's thrashing around the screen.
