San Cristobal De La Laguna (better known as simply ‘La Laguna’), located about 10 km south of the capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife, was the first city in the Canary Islands and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
It has a charming historic centre and is also home to a renowned university.
