5/5 long dogs. I'm a big Harry Potter fan, so, I loved all the Harry Potter Easter eggs. I love that they paid homage to Harry Potter, one of the biggest franchise's in the world. I liked the Australia Vs. British culture through Bluey and Honey, respectively. I think it's kind of ironic that Honey is very well-rounded and a big learner, but, her classmate Mackenzie is clueless. It's kind of odd because Border collies are the smartest dogs around, beagles not so much. But, either way, I liked seeing the differences between Bluey and Honey, and how even though they are very different girls, they're still friends. I want them to do this with more of Bluey's friends in the future.
This episode was so sweet. I love despite their differences, it doesn't change the fact their parents are the same. Always loving them by the end of the day.
A detail you missed was at the very beginning. Honey wakes up like normal because the U.K is in the northern hemisphere while Bluey woke up upside-down because Australia is in the southern hemisphere. And since Honey is British and Bluey is Aussie, that makes a lot of sense. As you can tell I am a huge fan of the Beagles despite the fact that Bluey made me obsessed with Aussie culture, and Honey is what made me obsessed with the show in the first place. Now I want to see the two of them argue over which is better: Marmite or Vegemite? Also yeah, Honey is deffo a Ravenclaw. Maybe we will see some fan art of Honey in full Hogwarts attire?
I’ve definitely gotten better but when I was a kid, it took me FOREVER to get out of bed and Bluey, dragging the blanket with her, was exactly like me because I would wear the blanket around the house until it was time to get dressed
Did anyone else kind of wonder why Bluey and Bandit were having a tug-of-war over the cereal? I guess it could just be that he thought it was too sugary for her, but then why would they have bought it? 🤣
I just love all the British references with the queen and 007 and more and the whole vibe of honey‘s family being British and it just makes me want to go to London even moreone day🥰🤩
Woohoo first comment! Perks of being a cheeky dog you get the video 12hours early! I love hearing that it inspires you to want to go to London that’s amazing ❤️
I honestly don’t what’s more ingenious with these references: the fact that they’re up to date yet still pay homages, or the jokes shown with the different names/images (like the “Dreerios”). 😂 BTW, I think that there should be a “If Bluey characters were in Harry Potter” video, like how I think Honey is in Ravenclaw. 😅
I didn’t come back and check, but did you ever relize the kid was making fun of bandit drawings in dragon was Bucky Dunsten and bandit says I thinks he’s a real estate agent now. And in the sign , their relastate agent, his name is Bucky Dunstun!!! and also from the episode dirt all the way to the episode, the sign Judo’s mums hair grew all the way back
Seeing all the references here reminds me a lot of Thomas & Friends! Another preschool series enamored with British railway culture and getting kids more invested into life on the rails there. I even picked up a few words, watching the show myself, just like Bluey 😎
Margie, you should totally do a video sorting Bluey characters into Hogwarts Houses. I definitely see Honey as a Ravenclaw, Bluey is probably a Hufflepuff/Gryffindor (she's basically Harry and Ron and has a "certain disregard for the rules"), Bingo is definitely Hufflepuff, Socks is Hufflepuff too I'd say, Muffin is Gryffindor/Slytherin (so far, anyway), Mackenzie is probably Gryffindor, Rusty is probably Gryffindor too, Jack is probably Hufflepuff/Gryffindor, Bandit is probably Slytherin/Gryffindor, Chilli is probably Hufflepuff, etc. Please make a video like this. I would say I'm more of a Bluey character than a Honey character because I'm very imaginative like Bluey. I also don't like chores, but, I do them anyway, I like to sleep in as well, I loved Coco Pops as a kid, I'm not a sports fan (although we don't know if Bluey is a sports fan as of yet). But, now, I would say I'm more like Honey as well because I like learning more now than when I was in school and I'm trying to be more well-rounded and I'm trying to get up early as well. Bluey likes to stay up late as well, just like me. I'm more of a Bluey, but, I'm kind of half and half as an adult. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. I want more of these in the future, especially for Mackenzie, Jack, Judo, Lucky and Chucky, Indy and Chloe.
This was by far my favourite of this batch of minisodes. I loved all the Easter eggs that went into this tiny, little minisode and how much more information we got about Honey's character in this episode. I definitely think Honey is a Ravenclaw. She has those Ravenclaw vibes because she loves to learn, since she's very sporty and she also loves picking up new skills, like piano and violin lessons. Plus, I have to imagine that since Marcus works as a University Lecturer, because he introduces Bandit, maybe Honey's parents pushed her to want to learn a lot and to have enjoy new skills. Besides, I have to think she's 3 or 4 years ahead on her reading because she read all the HP books at like 6/7. I want to see more Harry Potter references in the future. I want to see dog versions of the main characters, like Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, Dumbledore, McGonagall, Hagrid, etc. I love the James Bond references on the Beagles' car. I'm thinking Marcus and Daisy are James Bond fans because he's the most famous spy in the UK and one of the most famous movie characters of the 20th century. I love that Honey is intelligent, but she's also sporty. We haven't seen Bluey play any sports, so, we don't if she does competitive martial arts. Maybe the reason Honey wasn't very imaginative in "The Doctor" or "Calypso" is because she's a bit more of a "facts and figures" logical girl than the other kids, whereas, Bluey is more of a creative soul and doesn't have much structure to her day. We got to see Bingo play Mini-Hockey, which I liked. I think it's just an all around perfect minisode with a lot more lore to the Blueyverse.
London Bridge is falling down is actually the darkest nursery rhyme Ever. It's a reference to how there would be a sacrifice under the bridge to prevent the bridge from falling.
Interestingly in the art shown there it was blue and silver which is ravenclaw but in the actual clip it was blue and yellow like you said so maybe in the end it's it's own house in world.
My favorite hidden detail was probably Harry Potter (surprise surprise 😂) the music was super good, and it was something different from the minisodes. It changed it up a bit.
I Am Hopefully The Loud House And Bluey Meetup.. Cuz I Really Love The Loud House And Bluey In Nickelodeon x Disney Plus. But I Made The Loud House Bluey Version, Such As Labrador Retriever Is The Best Idea Dog Breeds! Labrador Retriever Are Different Main Colors Are Black, Brown And Yellow.
Besides Disney does not own the rights to Bluey they just have the right to show it in America (probably other places) and unfortunately to change how it is shown in those places
There should be an episode where Bluey, Honey and the other kids are dressed as students from Hogwarts, and Calypso is dressed as McGonagall. And if Honey is learning to play the piano, she should learn to play the Halfway to Forever song from Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal.
@ plus that mail box was definitely her height. Compared to other mailboxes that are taller then Bluey and Bingo. I wonder why Honey has a child size mail box?
For me it's 5 out of long dog but nitpick is bluey and bandit are completely out of character in this minisode just pretend that the cereal scene is from season and the bath scene is a deleted scene from the weekend
I can't make out everything in the drawing... but I can tell whats at the top and bottom. The bottom of the picture is a long green zigzag, so that would be a line of grass. At the top is a large yellow Bee. I'm not sure what's standing in the middle, but it's purple with a small spot or tiny circle of brown. I'm not well versed in the characters in the show, but it looks kind of like someone (or something) standing or walking, possibly chasing or running from the Bee. Did anything happen in the show where someone was chasing or being chased by a Bee?
hiya! I found a secret when I was watching bluey today. In the episode Bob Bilby when they are watching TV at the shops in the back ground is trixie and uncle stripe but uncle stripe is a maroon colour?! Could be a glitch for the animators but if you mention this in a video please give me credit!!!
Yup I’ve talked about that before in my Bob Billy breakdown and my family tree video part 3….probably an error but I like to think that maybe it’s aunt Trixies brother!
1:48 that's a bluey-fied version of an old promo pic for the Aardman short "Wat's Pig", if Aardman is canon in Bluey that means Wallace and Gromit are too
@criatoriohss no but it was a fairly early short for Aardman. The promo pic in question has the titular character and his pig posed exactly like the pic in Honey's room
They can put as many easter eggs or references as they want in Bluey, but I'm seriously frustrated that nothing of traditional Australia was shown, so the setting rather than looking like Australia proper feels more like a generic place like any other.
Yeah I understand where your coming from, it definitely only shows one specific type of lifestyle in Australia (Joe Brumms of course) but hopefully over the next seasons they will start to branch out and show others and other parts of Australia too
I got the overall impression that Bluey's life is a little bit more joyful than that of Honey. Honey's life seems more stiff, stuffy, and overly ordered, whereas I saw much more joyfulness in Bluey's life and her overall environment. Honey does not appear to enjoy her violin lessons (I didn't see her smiling much during her violin playing) and the fact that she is eating 'Dreerios' cereal strikes me as rather revealing. Honey's household shows rather stereotypically British stuffiness, a stereotype often held by many Australians and Americans. Bluey's lifestyle seems a lot more relaxed and laid back, with just the right amount of natural chaos and entropy. Honey seems to have less fun than even her fellow Brit Peppa Pig in her adventures in the UK. Aussie Girl Margie, you claimed that there was sufficient joyfulness in Honey's life.....what am I missing here? By the way, Honey's little pet is a guinea pig, or cavy--this is the first time I have ever seen a Bluey character with a pet mammal. I personally feel that the depiction of British culture in 'Alongside' contains a fair number of British stereotypes--what do you think? Margie, I'm hoping that one of these days you will respond to some of my messages here...I put a fair amount of thought into them.
I think you bring up a great point of portraying honeys lifestyle as more structured, or stuffy. I think they also put in a good effort of showing the life of a single child vs two children. From my experience things are more hectic with two kids and I definitely could feel that in the scene where Chillis yelling to get them out the door but honey and her home are just chill driving in the car
@@aussiegirlmargie I'm sure you're right on all counts! But I've noticed that Bluey seems to have a lot more toys than Honey has. Even Peppa Pig has WAY more toys. I'm concerned that this would be a deprivation for poor Honey.
