I just discovered your channel and see this video is already 4 years old . Would be great to see an update on how both sinks are holding up.

I will plan to do that at some point! Probably this summer…the bathroom sink is holding up really well - but the kitchen sink, not so good. It’s going to need a fix, and that will probably happen in the summer when we can open up the windows of the kitchen! ❤️

How did it hold up over the last 3 years? I have a very large antique kitchen sink, with drainage ledges on both sides, my great grandma and my grandma both kept a dish pan in the sink and it has worn down the enamel and is rusting underneath of where it was kept for all of those years. Wondering if this would work but curious to see what happened first.

This particular sink has held up very well! We did a similar process for our kitchen sink though, and that one hasn’t held up well unfortunately. With the hot water and the scuffing of dishes it has worn away the paint/finish. We are looking for a different solution

Do you know how to fix a hollow in a cast-iron kitchen sink?

Nice job. Did you guys do the kitchen sink? If so, how did it hold up with scratches from pots, pans, silverware, etc? Thanks

We did a ‘quick fix’ on the kitchen sink - not nearly as thorough as this process as we were rushed to get it done before we closed the house loan. Being honest, the kitchen sink hasn’t held up well at all. We are looking at an alternative fix or full restoration in the near future! Powder room sink is doing great though!

Do you think you would have gotten a shinier end product with a cast epoxy restorer?

That's possible. Do you have a product link?

My husband did a more detailed video series on the restoration where the products can be seen. He has a full playlist, but here is where he exactly shows them: th-cam.com/video/XZ6LfryQzFg/w-d-xo.html

How is the Rust-Oleum spray epoxy holding up? Wanting to start a project this weekend and hoping this turned out well for you over time.

We have been using our sink daily for a year now and it looks as good as the day we had it installed! Be sure to follow the directions very carefully and allow a lot of time in between drying coats! Good luck!

If you look at the video description- there is a link to a coordinating blog post. In it I have the products mentioned specifically ❤️ my husband also did a VERY detailed video on the process over on his channel

It was a Rustoleum brand of epoxy. Worked well!
