    Oz, I just used this method on a problem I had for ages and it worked! I had thought I might do a PQ solution but needed too many joins etc for the users who are not skilled at Excel - this solution requires a single refresh and it updates beautifully - Thanks!

      @@OzduSoleilDATA maybe soon. The tricky thing about that, as you know, is data privacy. It can take a pile of work and time to replace real data with mock data.

    Really cool video, wish I had known of it sooner. I think it's a great shame there's little to no integration between PowerQuery and VBA... Also the ability to create those connections with VBA would be insanely powerful. Perhaps this is a space that wil lbe expanded with OfficeJS :)

    • @OzduSoleilDATA
      @OzduSoleilDATA  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't tried uniting VBA and Power Query but I've heard that there are challenges. Hopefully there'll be a solution that makes things simpler.

    That'll only work in "one to many" scanerio. If you had one customer on multiple routes that wouldn't work :(

    • @OzduSoleilDATA
      @OzduSoleilDATA  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's exactly a prerequisite to using relationships or data models: there has to be a 1:1 or 1:many relationship. Many:Many is problematic. But in this example, one customer wouldn't be on more than one route.
      Sure, a person might have several homes that are on different routes, but the address is more important than the person's name.
