Oz, I just used this method on a problem I had for ages and it worked! I had thought I might do a PQ solution but needed too many joins etc for the users who are not skilled at Excel - this solution requires a single refresh and it updates beautifully - Thanks!
I did myself a huge favor and watched this whole video. I've watched several 'serious' videos but finally got the message in your 'sexy' style. Keep being you!
@@OzduSoleilDATA maybe soon. The tricky thing about that, as you know, is data privacy. It can take a pile of work and time to replace real data with mock data.
Really cool video, wish I had known of it sooner. I think it's a great shame there's little to no integration between PowerQuery and VBA... Also the ability to create those connections with VBA would be insanely powerful. Perhaps this is a space that wil lbe expanded with OfficeJS :)
That's exactly a prerequisite to using relationships or data models: there has to be a 1:1 or 1:many relationship. Many:Many is problematic. But in this example, one customer wouldn't be on more than one route. Sure, a person might have several homes that are on different routes, but the address is more important than the person's name.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL! I love hearing that. 🏆
Love it! I wish my lawyer was as competent as yours :)
My lawyer is the best. Bitter-tasting people are so litigious, we have to guard against them.
:-D
I learn from both of you amazing things in excel
This is the sexiest Data Model video I ever did see. Good thing I'm working remote from home. Thanks Oz! Totally helped me out.
HELL YEAH!
Good thing you're home to maximize pleasure. 🤩
I'm so glad the video helped.

Love your teaching skill and teaching style. You explain things very easy!

I've been having so much fun with Data Models, Power Query and DAX. I love it!
I'd like to see some of what you've done with PQ and Data Models.

This is awesome. It would be interesting if you showed what would/wouldn't happen if you didn't set up the relationships.
Dude, ur the boss.

This might actually be the first NSFW Excel tutorial in existence.

I haven't tried uniting VBA and Power Query but I've heard that there are challenges. Hopefully there'll be a solution that makes things simpler.
PQ for the sexy people! Love it! Thanks for the video Oz
DOUG! YES! Only the sexy people can handle PQ and the Data Model all in one solution. LOL!
Thanks u oz ji
Safa ji! You're so very welcome! 😊
Excellent video, but the link of the song was the cherry on the piece of cake cut.
Nice. 🤗 You liked that! 🕺💃🕺💃

:) hihi too sexy. Oz, thanks, I knew little about the data model, thanks for your help!
Hey hey! You're welcome!
Thank you
I wasn't expecting this. lol
🤣🤣🤣
That'll only work in "one to many" scanerio. If you had one customer on multiple routes that wouldn't work :(

@@OzduSoleilDATA , I'm looking forward to the next video with many-to many example ☺
