I think in this instance I would place a leaf on the paper and roughly trace around it in situ with a soft pencil to get the rough shape 😊

@@LanaGloschatArt i freehand draw everything...and while i am not always 100% accurate, its my hand, my style, my vision going down on paper!
Tracing... I would say some of the old masters would disagree with you. 😅
