I didn't recognize Nancy Travis!!! I guess it's been awhile since I've seen her work. Angela Sarafyan has really hypnotizing eyes that I can't look away from. She has a very charismatic on-screen presence.
Brilliantly well done film about the nature of the cycle of abuse and its effects! It drew me in from the very first scene and held me until the end! Absolutely incredible job by all involved! Congratulations on an amazing film! 🎉🎊🍾🥂
The disrespect and hatred each partner begins to feel leads to more and more emotional abuse and to each partner justifying inappropriate, even destructive, behaviour. Victims hope the abuser will change one day....bares fact that the victim is afraid of their Abuser... Victims 'Blame Themselves', but fall into a trap with successive partners....breaking the cycle of repeated psychological destruction is difficult.
Anger is not the strongest emotion. Love is. Set your hate aside, but it can be difficult. Sometimes very difficult. Love never dies. You have to kill it. And that can be near impossible.
Ooof… that is deep and very true. It is better to have never loved than to have loved and lost - in my opinion. Because it is the strongest emotion. Anger:rage, second. Why there is a fine like between love and hate. BUT, the opposite of love is indifference. 😇
Also, maybe… the people you love the most can bring out the most anger? This does not condone murder, etc… But just to say, love and hate are extreme emotions, like horror and comedy-but they are both similar-they are exaggerated emotions.
@@bailey1493 Thanks for your thoughts. Despite the losses, I cannot imagine having lived without love. To have deeply loved my partners (not many, 3) and to have deeply loved my children (despite loss) seems irreplaceable to me. Just my $0.02.
★★★★☆☆☆ Brilliantly acted, perfectly-timed storytelling, perfect camera work and visuals, cool score. Two major issues though: W(tf) is the message? (The end is very illogical to me). And given the violence - physical as well as psychological - the film should be in the password-requiring 18+ section. For once it mattered less that there are no subtitles, as the actors enunciate so well that even these auto captions were accurate. But do consider that not everyone can hear well. So subtitles ought to be a no-brainer default when you publish a film. We live in 2024.
I don't understand the second one they don't show why she couldn't adopt and he didn't show any aggression at the table when she said no to kids if he was like a best friend, why would he abuse?
Apparently because the energy of her first husband entered his body and he became abusive over sudden. I too don't understand what her inability to have kids has to do with him abusing her.
@@-svet-ka- It didn't have anything to do with kids... it was the whole going on about destiny and fated to be together forever etc. that was the warning sign. It didn't come off as endearing, but rather creepy and possessive.

Very ironic to hear Nancy Travis start naming off dead husbands killed by their wife after her role in "So I Married an Axe Murderer." LOL!

No. Black Widows kill because they can. She’s a woman defending herself from repeated abuse. There is a night and day difference between the two.
