It's a responsibility to support but not at your own detriment because most times, the family members you feel pressurized to put first will question why you ain't making progress. The entitlement mentality in Africans really need to be addressed. Nice topic. Thank you hosts.
I love this. This session is very educative. The diverse opinion says a lot about our struggle especially as young adults. This conversation is infinitive and unending.
"We raise by lifting others" no be for person wey dey 1st floor, coz any little shake na ground floor direct. Incredible and Insightful episode ❤... "GO HARD BUT NOT GO HEARTLESS" 🤔🤔
Nothing really wrong in shouldering some bills as regards siblings and family stuff, but making it a compulsion or one's responsibility at times is what can be challenging especially in an African setting...
Actually it is not easy if it’s just one person that is shouldering the responsibility, eventually they might drag the person down just like Newah said … So I think the best is help them to a place they can help themselves also
We learn everyday, this is actually my first time of hearing black tax all thanks to this platform.
For someone that has a kind heart, they will surely want to help the family, telling them it’s their right or not
Exactly, it is an undue pressure and should be abolished.
Omo, this is a real issue.. not for females alone, males are the major victim

The entitlement! The pressure...very draining
Last born I support you point of view 👍
It’s a chain …
If your family struggles to raised you , you must give it back to that family if you make it
This issue needs to be addressed
We cannot do without family but one need to apply wisdom when it comes to taking responsibility.
Family and their sense of entitlement is draining honestly
Very much 😢😢

Any sex can be a victim of black tax. Also it's not common again nowadays compared to centuries back.
This can’t work in Nigeria
