Best heavy metal band ever. Judas has changed my life since I discovered them with 14 years. I just can't explain how much I feel when I hear a Judas Priest song. Their music has been for me in good times and in bad times. I remember how I cried when I saw them for the first time in 2011. Richie saw me crying and he threw me a pick hahaha. Metal gods !!!!
That last scream was wasted on the fade out! just shows that Rob gives his all right to the end. Remarkable performance and chord progression, shame it was a drum machine though. Priest are absolute Titans of Metal! HAIL!!!!
Halford's SCREAMS MAKE THIS SONG...THOSE SCREAMS AS THE SONG IS FADING OUT....INCREDIBLE, I TRIED TO HIT THOSE HIGH NOTES MYSELF & ALMOST PASSED OUT TRYING, HOW IN THE FUCK DOES HE DO IT...GREAT TUNE, I LISTEN TO IT DAILY....
I saw them when they were supporting the Painkiller tour, the opening act Testament with the Souls Of Black album, then Megadeth with Rust In Peace. Awesome concert.
This song is basically John Connor leading a crew of rebels against a tyrannical robotic regime! Good stuff...not much music written like this these days...I love JP and have for 40 years!
As the sun goes down, I move around Keeping to the shadows Life, hangs by a thread And I've heard it said, that I'll not see tomorrow If that's my destiny, it'll have to be So I'll face the future Running out of time I'm on the line But I'll go down fighting Felt the hand of justice Telling wrong from right Threw me out upon the street In the middle of the night Cybernetic heartbeat Digital precise Pneumatic fingers nearly Had me in their vice Not begging you I'm telling you You won't break me You won't make me You won't take me Under blood red skies You won't break me You won't take me I'll fight you under Blood red skies Through a shattered city Watched by laser eyes Overhead the night squad glides The decaying paradise Automatic sniper With computer sights Scans the bleak horizon For its victim of the night They're closing in They'll never win As the end is drawing near Standing proud, I won't give in to fear As I die a legend will be born I will stand, I will fight You'll never take me alive I'll stand my ground I won't go down You'll never take me alive I'm telling you Hands of justice I will stand, I will fight Never surrender As the sun goes down I won't give in to fear
One night in 1979 I had tickets to see Foghat and B.T.O. 2nd row center at the Dallas Memorial Colosseum. The show opened with a band I had not heard before. I don't think anybody there was prepared for the metal onslaught. They came out in street clothes and for 45 minutes blew us away. I stood right under Tipton and Halford and was mesmerized. I went home and by the end of that week my band had learned Hellbent for Leather and Deliverin' the Goods.
Right after Painkiller, this is my absolute favourite Judas Priest's song!! A pure concentrate of Heavy Metal, amazing singing and sheer emotions!! Only Rob and company could ever create a little jewel like this one!!
For anyone who doesn't think Halford is the best metal vocalist, play them this song and then say that's him in his 30's after wailing for over a decade. This song displays the incredible range and dominance his voice has and is why Rob is the Metal God 🤘
@@moderndayheretic Nah, he's pretty good and has a lot of importance in the History of Heavy Metal, I give him that, but he's also just overestimated by the Iron Maiden fanbase ha... There are lots of better ones out there that just wasn't/are not/won't be at the right place at the right time like Bruce Dickinson & Iron Maiden.
@@MrFredVille So if that's the case explain to me why countless professional, classically trained vocal coaches have heaped endless praise on Bruce nad his voice. Do they just not know what they are talking about? Just look up "Vocal coach reacts to Bruce Dickinson" and you will see what I am talking about. A few quotes I liked from some of them were "Bruce is not human" "Bruce Dickinson has achieved God level status in vocals" and "He's one of the best there is". There is also a great article you can ead called "Ask a real musician" where a classically trained opera singer and renowned vocal coach was asked to review 5 metal singers. For Bruce she said he achieves things with his voice with extreme ease that many classically trained male tenors struggle with. And what's funny is that she was reviewing The Number of the Beast which, by Bruce's standards, is not one his best vocal performances. So a mid tier vocal performance from Bruce is superior to most classically trained tenors. Let that sink in. If you don't personally enjoy Bruce that much compared to others then that is totally fine, voice preference is entirely subjective, but don't make claims about technical skill without backing your argument up. Please listen to the isolated vocal tracks of Flight of Icarus, Where Eagles Dare, and Hallowed be thy Name and try telling me those songs don't show an absolutely absurd amount of vocal range, clarity, stanima, technique, and raw power.
@CLNDSTiN I’m more than happy to have a reasonable discussion, but if you’re just going to be immature then there is not much to talk about. Furthermore, it makes your comment look like pure projection. I actually backed my comment up with facts, can you do the same? Also, for the record, I absolutely love Rob Halford and meant no disrespect towards him. I think he’s the 2nd best singer of all time after Bruce. I also absolutely love Judas Priest. I think Maiden are better for consistency, but when both bands are at their best they are easily on par.
Muchísimas gracias por el que es para mi el mejor tema heavy de todos los tiempos La voz de Rob es de otro mundo y demuestra quien ha mandado en esto desde siempre
This song has gotten me through a lot lately, like a lot. It’s metal perfection at it’s finest, as always from priest though. Thank you priest for this gem and for everything, and long live metal. I’ll fight you under blood red skieeesssssss!!!!!!!!
At 15 years old wow and now at 46 I still love it, so what does this say about 80s Rock ha ha it just gets into your veins and it will be there forever xox
Thank You Judas Priest for always being there in the worst of times. I just came back from the concert en Lima - Perú for the first time ever. You will always be the quessential metal band no matter what anybody says no other metal band has influenced more than you guys have. You will always be here for me When The Night Comes Down. Thank you for comming to my humble country.
And yes it’s 2020 , just chillinwith a lovely bottle of red , this is such a therapy song, Hell of a day at work , but it’s all great now ha ha love u Rob 4 ever, started at 15 years old and now 47 and still my GO TO 🤟🐾🍷
Some fans say, ah, the keyboards are gone on this one- but, man, listen to the density and pulse of the MIDI tracks. That’s pretty much keys. Still think this tune kicks ass.
I love this track. "You won't break me, you won't take me" - That's what I told cancer. xx
@Joseph Babica I've used this song to get through this moronic administration.
I am now using this song to get through fixing a software bug.
👍👍
Edit: felt I had to add that many in my family lost that battle. I'm very happy for you. Use your time wisely my friend.

He is in a league of his own.

I think it says don't give up 🙂🤣
Only Rob Halford can do that with his voice! Such a wide vocal range!
Rob’s full vocals arsenal on display in this bad ass song.
Another Judas Priest masterpiece. Song demonstrates the diversity this amazing band has produced
Gods of the Heavy Metal.

Total gift to rock world!!! Your comment.....LMAO!
I dedicate this song to fathers who love their children ....who got screwed by the system ....but keep on going for their sake
That introduction is always fantastic
Rob Halford with his wide vocal range, incomparable singing and the dueling guitars of Glen Tipton and Richie Faulkner...........excellent.
K.K. Downing. Richie wasn't in the band yet.
Lol did this dude really say richie Faulkner
Long live Judas Priest !
1988년에 이런 사운드를 낼 수 있는 그룹은 아마 JUDAS 밖에 없음
Imagine having all these fantastic musicians of metal onstage and out walks Halford and blows you away. Priest forever !!!
Ive seen it in Copenhagen Denmark 👍
It's a fact

Exactly. Always thought of Terminator when I listened to this. Rob loves the sci-fi lyrics.
welcome to now
What about Logan’s Run? I think this fits that movie too.
Personally i thought of 'Blade runner'.
"Phuq you asshole." 😎😂
Love the atmosphere of this song. Futuristic, kinda like cyberpunk mixed with heavy metal. Dueling behind a sunset, under blood red skies!
As the sun goes down, I move around
Keeping to the shadows
Life, hangs by a thread
And I've heard it said, that I'll not see tomorrow
If that's my destiny, it'll have to be
So I'll face the future
Running out of time
I'm on the line
But I'll go down fighting
Felt the hand of justice
Telling wrong from right
Threw me out upon the street
In the middle of the night
Cybernetic heartbeat
Digital precise
Pneumatic fingers nearly
Had me in their vice
Not begging you
I'm telling you
You won't break me
You won't make me
You won't take me
Under blood red skies
You won't break me
You won't take me
I'll fight you under
Blood red skies
Through a shattered city
Watched by laser eyes
Overhead the night squad glides
The decaying paradise
Automatic sniper
With computer sights
Scans the bleak horizon
For its victim of the night
They're closing in
They'll never win
As the end is drawing near
Standing proud, I won't give in to fear
As I die a legend will be born
I will stand, I will fight
You'll never take me alive
I'll stand my ground
I won't go down
You'll never take me alive
I'm telling you
Hands of justice
I will stand, I will fight
Never surrender
As the sun goes down
I won't give in to fear
The second best Priest song that shows how great Rob Halford’s voice was in his prime, the first song being Painkiller.
Epic Song , listen to it when you lose your faith and it will come back very fast
