For Hwasa, you can’t miss “Maria” and “LMM” because they’re both so important and personal to her, but you should also check out “Twit,” her first solo and hit and probably either “Bless U” or “I’m a …” from her latest album. Moonbyul’s released a lot of music, so narrowing it down is hard lol. You can’t miss “Eclipse” and “Lunatic” as they’re two of her memorable songs. Her most recent single “Cheese in the Trap” is what officially made her the most credited female Kpop artist and stands out to her fans because she hates acting cute but she refuses to be constrained by genre so she did it anyway (very successfully too). My personal favorite song of hers is “Absence,” and I definitely recommend you check out the performance video for that even if you don’t react to it. Wheein’s biggest solo hits have been “Make Me Happy,” “Easy,” “Watercolor,” “D-day,” and “Goodbye” and any of them would be great choices as they all have a lot of personal connection for her. Solar hasn’t released as many solo songs as the rest of her members but the most notable are her solo debut “Spit It Out” which managed to win #1 on the world Billboard chart within 4 days of its release and “Honey,” which was also extremely successful. I’d also recommend checking out “zingle zingle” from that album since she said that she wrote it for Moonbyul. Apart from their solos, the song I’d most recommend checking out is one of their B-sides “Paint Me.” It’s absolutely incredible. There’s two different versions of it though, so make sure that you check out both. Either your bias will pick you or you'll end up with OT4 as your bias and there's nothing wrong with either result. DJVILLAN is more pessimistic than most moomoos about their chances of staying together. The members have repeatedly said they're going to continue but their future is unclear at this point, partly because of contractual issues. Until we get more concrete info from the members or RBW all we can do is hope for the best and enjoy their music. As you may have heard by now, the girls' next release will be a 5 song mini-album called Two Rabbits by the Solar/Moonbyul subunit Mamamoo+ on Aug 3 along with the title track Dangdang. They dropped a pre-release single called Save Me a few days ago and a live acoustic version, which I prefer. Hwasa will release a solo album fairly soon and I expect Wheein to do likewise this fall.

They're one of if not the hardest working group in show biz so keeping up with Mamamoo is an almost hopeless task but at least you'll know when they release something new. The most recent song they've uploaded is Hwasa's beautiful cover of Walk On By, which she dropped on her birthday (July 23) as a gift to moomoos. They always upload a song or a special gift for moomoos on their birthdays. Don't worry too much about the speculation around the group's future. Many kpop fans seem to think they effectively disbanded after their initial contract with RBW expired in 2021. They seem to forget that MMM has been pursuing multiple paths for several years - full group, solo, subunit and collabs between the members and other artists. In 2022 they recorded and/or performed over 50 new covers and original songs in between their other activities as hosts, guests or competitors on tv and radio shows, modeling, uploading on yt, and launching their first world tour during the last two months of the year. Oh, and Solar was busy for almost half the year rehearsing and performing in her critically acclaimed musical theatre debut playing the lead in Mata Hari for a three month run. They're workaholics even by kpop's outrageous work ethic standards. It seems clear that they're going to focus on their solo and subunit careers for the near future but there's no way they're done as a group.

After almost 9 years Mamamoo held their very first world tour concert from Jan-June 2023 but it really only south east Asia and USA. Sadly the chances of them holding another concert is very slim as now both Hwasa and Wheein left RBW although they are still Mamamoo members. It appears when Wheein's special contract with RBW expires in Dec she will not renew it and Mamamoo will likely disband despite Solar and all the members stating during their US concerts last month that they would continue and return for more concerts. Moonbyul wore that black suit in her Eclipse solo song. Yes, she was told by one of RBW's CEO's that she either had to be the rapper in Mamamoo or she would not be in the group. What you saw was a re-enactment for a tv show where Moonbyul and other idols had to write and act in their own drama based on real life events.
They've been saying multiple times that they will continue and they're just starting. They even talked about celebrating their 10th anniv on their 9th anniv video. Idk about y'all but I believe the girls than any other rumors and speculations. Let's be positive, moos 💚
