I was 5 when I first picked up a Whitedwarf magazine - I'm 26 now. I didn't have many friends growing up but I had Warhammer and the worlds i built there remain forever free. Me and my dad would drive to the city and get a box, it was how we connected. We don't talk much but that was our language. No one spoke it except me and him. Those metal kits, the rhino and the box dreadnought - Screens could never compare to razing a waaagh on your bedroom floor age 7. Years on I always go into the stores, because that language is there. I feel closer to my dad. It's nostalgia really. But this channel brings it to life in a whole new way and for that I am grateful. (PSA the tau sucked back then and they still suck now. wazdakkah for life)
I keep saying it would be fucking EPIC to get a game where we play as an exorcist neophyte that wakes up in purgatory, having fought off their demon after a century or so of fighting it. They have to fight their way out, scrounging armor and weapons as they go, and progressing from fighting other failed neophytes to full fledged exorcists responding to the breach all the way up to fighting demons that begin appearing.
From what I’ve read, they were re-written as Grey Knights successors when Imperial Armour Badab War released. However later on writers decided this made the Grey Knights themselves less special so they were retconned into being an Imperial Fists successor chapter. I dislike how so many chapters recently are becoming Imperial Fist successors, and wish their lineage was just “unknown”. I too would love it if they left it up in the open but placed bread crumbs for the Exorcists to be an offshoot of loyalist Word Bearers.
I just got done reading Oaths of Damnation and loved it. Such an awesome and fascinating chapter. Ironically my favorite is the Black Templar (my first army back when I started in like 02). Guess I have a soft spot for Dorns boys, even if they hate each other.
@@kbo8029 I’m almost finished with it myself and it’s been awesome. Exorcists for me hold a special spot. Dorns boys are the best no questions asked. Black Templars, Executioners, Exorcists, Crimson Fists it’s nuts and was super happy to see one of the other Sons of Dorn get some love. PS Black Templars are amazing and the memes are gold.
I've been asking my lore tubers to cover them for years and I get nothing. This is the first channel I'm subbed to to cover them in earnest. Im stoked to finally see us get some fuckin spotlight.
What timing! I just finished Oaths of Damnation on audio book today! Although their secret groups were called Orisons not laments. Not sure if that's different in the older materials.
Can someone please explain the encounter between the inquisitor and the exorcist marine at the beginning? So an exorcist astartes was killed by inquisitor then questioned by a world bearer? And complied by telling him what he knew?? Please excuse me as I’m 5 ipa’s in.

This was a nice story, and one of the things I can't wait to bond with my future kids about. Assuming 40k does not go woke like Star Wars did.
You should write more.
Whatever
@@CozySERThe space marines will be half women by then.

It is said in lore, the Exorcists are from the imperial fist, though many people think they're from the word bearers or the grey knights.
They are imperial fist gene seed , All other suggestions are hearsay.
It’s definitely been concealed by the inquisition where their gene seed came from. It’s got to have a mix of traitor gene seed

Perhaps another voice might be used for "stories" rather than "lore"?
Both voices are good i think what you want is long story vids
''Baldemort'' he does stories regularly
Most bad ass chapter in NATO I mean Imperium
I sense a tiny little bit of heresy in your tone brother
😊
CONTEXT!
