Necromunda: Hired Gun has its issues, but I really enjoyed playing it. It had that claustrophobic feeling of being trapped in a gigantic, underground facility filled with maniacal killers.
I enjoyed your explanations. They didn’t deliver the usual horrific relieve from the horrors of reality, but it was pretty nice to listen and think about the worldbuilding behind it - how to gather a whole bunch of different crazies with very dark sides without making the world one-sided.
Just want to point out that would never happen as their probably the houses that hate each other the most. Escher was one of the two houses that created and enslaved Goliath it was escher who gave them their name as well as who made first female Goliaths
NICE ONE WES!!! LOL😂😂 Great vid as always, keep them coming, and Much Love and support from N.Y.!!!
honestly, this is a good setting for Total war game set up, there are some rumors about total war warhammer 40k, if it's true, this could be a great setting
So Necromunda is basically every back alley in Europe as a planet, I mean that's fuckin awesome, more that the huge bombastic setting of 40k I love it when they focus on a much smaller one such as Necromunda and/or Darktide gives you a different perspective on the world of Warhammer 40k and I love it, I wonder if there are any stories or novels just like it
So here's a theory I came up yesterday during nerd pub session ... terrible, poorly thought out brainfart incoming: The Man of Iron was purely the product of a fully functional STC, that got the wrong instructions and got a bit... overboard. The Ironkin from the Votann look very similar in design as the one Ironman survival in the Blackstone fortress and they are using some old STCs. So I think the cybernetic revolt was the result of the missuse of one or more intact STC. Hence when mankind finally got rid of the Man of Iron... We destroyed all our STCs. That's the reason why we can't find any fully functional one. We did a thorough job. :D
House Cawdor: We have Black Templars at home. House Escher: We have Drukhari Wyches at home. House Goliath: We have Thunder Ogryns at home. House Orlock: Mecronunda's Meritocratic Mafia 🙃 House Van Saar: We have Mechanicus/Scitarii at home. House Delaque: We have Alpha Legion at home.
House Cawdor: We're the westboro baptist Church of the imperium. House Escher: We're literally just Wych cults but human and a bit more punk rock than goth. House Goliath: They tried to reinvent the wheel and artificially create Ogryn. They got a mix of ogryn and Ork, but human. House Orlock: M A D. M A X...but also mafia. Sort of. House Van Saar: The SECOND the mechanicus finds our we have a (semi) functional STC, we are boned. House Delaque: We're the Necromunda CIA. But we might actually be in contact with the 40k version of Aboleth or the Reaper's progenitor race from Mass Effect. Plus, we got sick eyewear.
17:39 don’t forget that they also cared for each other a little bit too much. Take the step out of “oh no step brother I’m stuck” and you have their relationship to a T.

I don't see a lot of Necromunda lore vids. It was a nice change of pace from the glut of mundane lore. Its hard not to see the same lore on all of the lore channels. Good Pick Wes.
The escher death maiden model with the big headpiece and veil is just so feeaking cool. Could make a great slaanesh conversion. Or maybe a sylvaneth one
Currently I'm caught between wanting to get into the punk rock gun and drug runners and "We Have Alpha Legion at Home" and so I would LOVE to see more Necromunda content. I've already spent pretty much the entire pandemic getting into the rest of 40k, but this section of this galaxy gone mad has been something I've missed so far.
Overtyrant… as in, Ogre Overtyrant Greasus Goldtooth!? The Goliaths are Ogres!?
Star Chamber… as in, Slaan Star Chambers!? The Silent Ones of House Delaque are Lizardmen!?
I love Necromunda. I sure would love to play it someday.
It's been years since I got into Necromunda and I still haven't found a single person who wants to play a campaign with me. Not even a one-shot.
Very much in the same boat, don't know why there isn't more interest in it. Its one of the coolest settings in 40k.
You know what would be amazing? A movie based on the 70’s film the “Warriors” but set in Necromunda using its waring gangs. I’m just saying it writes itself 😂
I would love to see more necromunda content, just getting into the game and I can’t get enough of it!
I miss the old days of Warhammer....when people actually remembered the *NECROMUNDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
Necromunda: Hired Gun has its issues, but I really enjoyed playing it. It had that claustrophobic feeling of being trapped in a gigantic, underground facility filled with maniacal killers.
I love Necromuda so much. I started playing it when it first came out and if I ever get back into tabletop games I’m starting there.
I loved this video. The longer the better. It's nice to learn something new instead of the same thing over and over again. 👍
Right off the bat, bright stars in the background.
I enjoyed your explanations. They didn’t deliver the usual horrific relieve from the horrors of reality, but it was pretty nice to listen and think about the worldbuilding behind it - how to gather a whole bunch of different crazies with very dark sides without making the world one-sided.
A full merging of Houses Escher and Goliath would be unstoppable.
Power and finesse.
Men and women.
Drugs and addicts.
The best of both worlds.
Just want to point out that would never happen as their probably the houses that hate each other the most. Escher was one of the two houses that created and enslaved Goliath it was escher who gave them their name as well as who made first female Goliaths
NICE ONE WES!!! I mean while I am an absolutely huge Space Marine fanatic, on all the channels nobody ever does any necromunda and the gangs are freaking awesome and the whole backstory is awesome and it's just like its own little pocket universe that not a lot of people know about, I mean I know about it but I'm just glad that you're letting other people know about it so they understand how freaking ridiculously insane some of this crap is! LOL😂😂
Great vid as always, keep them coming, and Much Love and support from N.Y.!!!
honestly, this is a good setting for Total war game set up, there are some rumors about total war warhammer 40k, if it's true, this could be a great setting
So Necromunda is basically every back alley in Europe as a planet, I mean that's fuckin awesome, more that the huge bombastic setting of 40k I love it when they focus on a much smaller one such as Necromunda and/or Darktide gives you a different perspective on the world of Warhammer 40k and I love it, I wonder if there are any stories or novels just like it
I think expeditions to the underhive would make a good game with mechanics from lethal company, it could practically be a mod for the game
I'd love to know more about Necromunda . It's like a micro setting in the wider 40k universe.
I always thought a unifacation war table top game would be awesome, love me some technobarbarians. Necromunda does a good job scratching that itch.
So here's a theory I came up yesterday during nerd pub session ... terrible, poorly thought out brainfart incoming:
The Man of Iron was purely the product of a fully functional STC, that got the wrong instructions and got a bit... :D
As an Austrian, seeing a Holzkern ad here gave me whiplash
Love this in depth on Necromunda. Now Im more interested in the game!
House Cawdor: We have Black Templars at home.
House Escher: We have Drukhari Wyches at home.
House Goliath: We have Thunder Ogryns at home.
House Orlock: Mecronunda's Meritocratic Mafia 🙃
House Van Saar: We have Mechanicus/Scitarii at home.
House Delaque: We have Alpha Legion at home.
I'm glad I used Escher Gangers as my EC Cultist Mob. They definitely have a Slaaneshi edge to them.
Your smile makes me smile and I appreciate your happy vibe whilst I am being embraced by papa Nurgle.
Great video as always Wes. You should definitely keep covering Necromunda. It's a super interesting part of 40k.
Got into Necromunda because I was proxying Delaque for 1ksons cultists. Love the setting now
Thank you, you made shopping for my mom very easy this year.
Somehow I've been waiting for this for so long but never knew it til this moment. Lol
I would love some more Necromunda lore especially for the corpse grinders and prospectors
I would absolutely lover more Necromunda Content!
A Repo reference? In my 40k lore video? Love it.
House of Iron rise up! I love me some Necromunda content. I hope you'll cover the other factions in time!
Please more necromunda, a follow up with the other gangs sales pitch would be great!
This may be late but I definitely would love more.
A video about the other Necromunda's gang would definitively be interesting.
Love this content Wes, can’t believe I found it so late. Could you do more necromunda lore videos, on things like the Palatine enforcers, iron head squat prospectors, or ash waste nomads?
