I don't know if it's just because it sounds so peaceful and quiet, yet when you realize this song is from a dark and twisted game that I like this. Or just because this is perfection.
This should be the true ending's credits song, it really embodies the pursuit of the player to make everyone's reality come true as well as Monika's redemption
I yearn for a universe where people appreciate Monika for the smart, wonderful, thoughtful, caring girl she is instead of just thinking she is some kind of psychopathic murderer. I feel the people who see her that way completely missed the underlying message of the game. Supposedly, she's a real consciousness just like you or me, completely different from the other characters. She's the only person who can see the player's point of view. She understands the other characters and the valuable lessons that can be learned from them, but ultimately, she knows you are best partnered with a person rather than a character.

Euphie Sol The whole point of the game was about dissecting these character tropes and showing how they fall flat as people in the real world. Those other girls aren't real people, Monika is the only real one (by the game's lore). She's seen the girls for what they are as mere character files which are expendable. She even brings back the characters with herself deleted in the firth act. I don't like her because she just poses cute or anything like that, but because she understands the player and their struggles, I can even relate to seeing the world as a flat, uninteresting game in my own personal life. It's not psychopathic to kill characters in a game if you know they can be brought back with the click of a button.

Monika actually held up pretty well and still got a hold of herself during the ending of the game. Another note is that her jokes are to make her feel less guilty about killing her friends (trying to make herself think they are just autonomous bots that can be brought back at any time which is technically true). It was even more wonderful for their club president. She was smiling the whole time as her members have their glory time. Monika was happy. Her emerald eyes then turn towards you, glittering in tears that looked like they were crystals hugging her beautiful orbs. “You did it, you got to the end.” Her voice cracked, shoulders trembling as she spoke. “There’s nothing left after this, the script will end right after the fireworks happen.” Monika huffed out, her breath hitched up like it was caught in the middle of her throat. “Thank you for everything. Maybe we’ll meet again under different circumstances.” Monika then stared right through the screen and into your eyes. this might be what would be played as the credits in a RPG version of DDLC.. in normal speed if ur talking about the games ending 1.25 speed- what would play when monika confessed if she had a route (good ending, nobody dies) 1.5 speed- what would play if monika confessed, however you made a few choices leading you to reject, then killing all other girls (pretty much bad end, tho not worst) 0.5 speed- what would play if you rejected monika and she killed all the other girls, then you absolutely out-right denied her then she killed you and realized she lost her powers from that, but the game became self-aware itself, then deleting the game, so monika was stuck in a dark void forever along with the other girls (AW FLIP YOU RUINED EVERYTHING WORST POSSIBLE ENDING IMPLEMENTED IN THE GAME)

I can’t play ddlc but I’m into the fandom! I’m know everyone’s deaths and I know my favorite characters, and all of the extra mods but I feel bad for monika think about it every player who has ever played that game is another person who’s broken monikas heart you have to remember she’s self aware she knows her friends are just lines of code and yet still no matter what happens she has to sit there person by person every time getting more and more heart broken. I know it’s 2 years later, but I’ve been in the car for 11 hours replaying this and listening to it. It’s very calming. Monika has always been a comfort character for me, even after the things she did. I love her.

1.25 speed- what would play when monika confessed if she had a route (good ending, nobody dies)
1.5 speed- what would play if monika confessed, however you made a few choices leading you to reject, then killing all other girls (pretty much bad end, tho not worst)
0.5 speed- what would play if you rejected monika and she killed all the other girls, then you absolutely out-right denied her then she killed you and realized she lost her powers from that, but the game became self-aware itself, then deleting the game, so monika was stuck in a dark void forever along with the other girls (AW FLIP YOU RUINED EVERYTHING WORST POSSIBLE ENDING IMPLEMENTED IN THE GAME)

I can’t play ddlc but I’m into the fandom! I’m know everyone’s deaths and I know my favorite characters, and all of the extra mods but I feel bad for monika think about it every player who has ever played that game is another person who’s broken monikas heart you have to remember she’s self aware she knows her friends are just lines of code and yet still no matter what happens she has to sit there person by person every time getting more and more heart broken.
