Getting rid of universal healthcare is extremely unpopular and tanks people's approval ratings when they attempt to or successfully gut it. So that tracks. Would be great if you could release propaganda that makes people come to your side on the issue, or if passing universal healthcare pisses off a certain class of people.
I found that I was able to eliminate it slowly and then influence my people to becoming more patriotic. This seemed to solve that issue quite well!

I am really interested in this game. I just want to get a better idea of how it works though. Let's say for example that the crime rate amongst youth is high. Can you enact policies which would help the youth find careers or improve their education, and then see how all of the associated costs for those policies translate in to tax revenues from the youths careers or businesses they end up setting up instead of living a life of crime? I mean... How in depth is the simulation?....

They are defo there but...I had fun!
I think it would be better if the other parties actually tried to oppose you. I can only play on difficulty 200

No war mechanics?
All internal country management. But you do get events
I see it's still the same as democracy 3 so not worth to buy. Not realistic game

Suzerain is like that right from the start: The devs are woke types so, for instance, in their thinking, anything pro your country is against democracy, and they see no difference between war refugees and unregulated immigrants. So... in that case, the game can't handle it if you want a proud nation that helps war refugees
Yes some bias always seems to be built in!
