Very good video and informative video as always, which is also in your typical way giving me the feeling like talking to a big sister.. thanks for that. Just.....That pillowcase! The one with the cat on it, where´s it from?? The perfect present for my mum!! (and one for me, obvs..) xx
You're so lucky to only be seeing fine lines now. I'm 27 this year and have a significant amount of fine lines, I put it down to 10 years of smoking! (I haven't smoked in 2 years but the results are clear!)
Yes I agree great to only be getting fine lines at 36! I had baby 1 at 25 and baby 2 just 9 months ago at 29 and the fine lines are arriving ! So not bad. I think it's all the sleepless nights 👶🏼👶🏼
Thank god for you and your videos! As the mother of a still born daughter, I find it uncomfortable to ask for post pregnancy skincare advice in person so your videos have been so helpful in helping me get myself back to me. You don't know how valuable that has been to me xx
This is off topic, however, the other day I was thinking of that amazing ring you wore when you were pregnant with Anjelica and in today's video it's back! Are there any details you can provide about it? I love it!
I love these skin care videos. I've been watching for years and your recommendations have always helped my skin. If you say it's good, I believe you. x
Your confusion about you age, Lordy, but did I laugh! I do this all the time! Really paying more attention to my facial skin now that I'm into my forties, as insurance against the ravages of the future, so I appreciate your suggestions here. TFP : )
Love your videos as always(and the honesty of your blog). Can you do an empties/holy grail product video? The reason I ask is because I know you trial lots of products for your job and switch up your routine a lot, but just wondered whether you have your 'holy grail' products that you finish entirely and repurchase? Xx
Eclectic Alu Eucerin is fantastic cream. I use the daily and nighttime moisturiser. ...fantastic for under make up. The night face cream is alot thicken and super hydrating. Both come in a white tube. both have 5% urea ...fantastic. neither are expensive around a tenner!
I love the Emma Hardie range. However just started using the moringa cleanser and nearly itched my nose off in a horrid reaction. I did use it on the longer treatment option (left on for 5 mins). Until that point I was fine. Beware if you have sensitive skin :)
Not pregnant. Not a mother. Not looking for any improvements for my skincare. Just watched the video 'cause I find your voice so relaxing and love how 'real' you are :) oh boy the confusion about your age was so funny. I totally get it and have it all the time too! :D
Morning ! I've just started to use the pixie range .. the balm and acid toner .. also bought @the White company face cloths .. omg ! Such amazing results .. will try the Vichy toner .. take care enjoy your day ..👯☕️X
Don't worry once your children are old enough they'll make sure to remind you of your age;) I love skincare and I'm using the OSMOSIS line it''s medical grade, natural and about healing and strengthening the skins dermal barrier. Not sure if this line is available outside the US but, look into it. Very benificial and active ingredients. I tend to invest in my skincare so it's a splurge and one I feel is worth it. Congratulations on the new little one.
Ruth, what are your thoughts on "preventative Botox/fillers" ? I'm 25 and a lot of my friends have been having this done, I don't have any wrinkles yet or any places really to fill but some doctors say you can help prevent future ones by filling where they are going to happen. Is this a gimmick or a good idea do you think ?
I'm not sure, I haven't any experience in this area but I know that Nadine Baggot has loads of info on fillers and so on, she's very honest about the results and procedures. Look her up on here! xx
Love your recommendations. Going to order the Frankincense Cleanser and look into the Filorga line. 20 yrs older than you and my husband and I joke soon we'll need to wear name tags as we'll forget each others names. The good news is I don't have any fine lines around my eyes. A lot has to do with genes really. Thanks Mom.
I love the Organic Pharmacy eye and lip cream. It's very nourishing and feels a bit heavy but the next day the skin on the corners of my eyes and around the lips looks less lined, I'm 44 and have fine lines that are more prominent so trying to eat healthy, drink less and sleep enough to help as well.
We had our babies at the same age. The only thing is I am 13 yrs older than you. 😊 Really enjoy your videos and blog posts, your personality and humour is the best ! Xxx from Sydney
I'm coming 37 too and always have to get people to remind me what age I am. And I don't have the excuse of baby brain. :) I have started using The Ordinary. Have you tried any of their products. Would love you to do a review if you try them ;)
you look great !!! my favourite eye makeup remover is the bi-phase one from sephora. i wear mascara and eyeliner on a pretty much daily basis and have done so for so many years and have therefore also tried tonnes of various removers; sephora's is hands down the best. to be honest, the makeup forever one is also quite fantastic and wipes off with a clean fresh finish, BUT it stings my eyes - the ONLY eye makeup remover ever to do so !! very sad. otherwise what i do occasionally is to use a cleansing oil - either shu uemura or FAB mink oil conditioning cleanser - just to break down all the makeup and then continue to cleanse skin. ps : i would love to try that hylamide glow !!
Hylamide Glow is currently on offer at Look Fantastic £13.40 and there's also an extra 15-18% off on at the moment too. Perfect as I have been wanted to try since you spoke about it Ruth! :)
Ruth, have you tried The Ordinary AHA 30%+BHA 2 Peeling Solution? (PRIOR TO PREGNANCY) BHA's should be avoided when pregnant or breast feeding but if your able and your skin wants a huge boost, this product is incredible!! I've been using ts for 7 days and to be honest, after the first application, (THIS IS A 10 MINUTE EXFOLIATING TREATMENT) my skin appears brighter, glowing, even and so much healthier.
I've been using this for 7 days and om'goodness. My skin looks even, lively, feels hydrated and glowing. It's addictive!! I'd love to hear your comments on this 💘
Niall Kavanagh I combine the ordinary vit c with a moisturiser and the graininess goes away instantly because the granules of vit c are water soluble. Makes putting it on so much easier
I've been using MAP 10% for about two months now.. I just didn’t get on with it, and I really really wanted to, it’s so cheap. The texture is greasy, so absolutely can’t use it in the mornings (scorching, sweltering climate here) and it hasn’t really done anything, and Vitamin C works rather well with my skin. The thing I like most about the Ordinary is that you can find out which ingredient actually works for you. It's almost like hit and trial. I really like their acids, both salicylic and glycolic, and especially Azelaic Acid Suspension. But the Vitamin C is just meh. I was using the one from Drunk Elephant before. That stuff was GOLD, seriously. Especially beneath their gel moisturizer and this carrot serum from Odacite. Ridiculously good. The 1000mw glow- extreme hyperbole aside, my skin looked genuinely healthy- is gone, but I’ve money for takeaways. There’s some silver lining!
When you are done breastfeeding, why don't you start tretinoin? If there is one topical that can actually do something anti aging - wise that is the one.
Ha! I did the opposite, and for some reason, called myself 37 the entire year was 36. To this day, I've no idea where my head was. Kind of want 36 back. ;)
This is hilarious... that's what happened to me a few weeks ago. I was taking to my mom about age and I said I'm 32...she started laughing and said...no dear, your 33. I guess after 4 kids my brain is a bit ... :)
As anyone got a good eye cream that dose the job for thinning under the eyes and dry under eyes that Int like £100 quid more like 50-60 pound mark 💖💖💖💖
Very good video and informative video as always, which is also in your typical way giving me the feeling like talking to a big sister.. thanks for that.
Just.....That pillowcase! The one with the cat on it, where´s it from?? The perfect present for my mum!! (and one for me, obvs..) xx
It's Rory Dobner xxx
You're so lucky to only be seeing fine lines now. I'm 27 this year and have a significant amount of fine lines, I put it down to 10 years of smoking! (I haven't smoked in 2 years but the results are clear!)
Yeah, smoking'll do it. But amazing that you stopped - I smoked for years and quit about nine years ago, best thing I ever did! xx
Yes I agree great to only be getting fine lines at 36! I had baby 1 at 25 and baby 2 just 9 months ago at 29 and the fine lines are arriving ! So not bad. I think it's all the sleepless nights 👶🏼👶🏼

I'm so very sorry. I'm glad I offer some sort of help - sending all of my love, I can't even imagine how you must be feeling. xxx
This is off topic, however, the other day I was thinking of that amazing ring you wore when you were pregnant with Anjelica and in today's video it's back! Are there any details you can provide about it? I love it!
It's Bvlgari, I can only wear it when my fingers are hot or swollen as it's slightly too big! HA! x
I love these skin care videos. I've been watching for years and your recommendations have always helped my skin. If you say it's good, I believe you. x

Great idea!
I always find your recommendations so interesting and varied! Eucerin eye cream? I'll keep my eyes peeled for that one!
Hi! Thank you for your response! It sounds even more interesting now, I'll definitely give it a go. Thanks!
Yes it's a good one, I can never find good SPF eye creams! x
Hi Ruth. I need to know more about your haircolor. Will you color your hair again or go back to your own natural color?
Haven't even finished watching this but I am so excited you did this video !
Don't feel bad. I forget my age all the time lol. I'm always a year behind
A year behind is good. I might start going backwards with the numbers. x
AmazinGraceXOXO1 Glad I'm not the only one! 2 years ago, I thought that I was a year older than I really was for a good couple of months.
I am 25 and I can't keep my age straight either.
Easymakeup tutorial for mature skin
Great recommendations! I have a good experience with the Neil's Yard hydrating eyecream. I am 54 and it did magic for my fine lines.
I love the Emma Hardie range. However just started using the moringa cleanser and nearly itched my nose off in a horrid reaction. I did use it on the longer treatment option (left on for 5 mins). Until that point I was fine. Beware if you have sensitive skin :)

Totally a valuable share! I am really inspired to have watched this! Hope you have a fantastic day! I'm a fan now!

I have been trying to forget my age... great to see someone pull it of 😀
Tend to have normal/combination skin with some oily/dry patches. Will be checking some of these products out. Thanks!

Ruth, how about testing and reviewing some natural skincare/beauty products? That would be so great if you could recommend some of these xx

Hi there, could you make a video about how you incorporate a new skin care item or line in to your routine?
We had our babies at the same age. The only thing is I am 13 yrs older than you. 😊

Yes, the hyaluronic. It's great value. x
We are on month 14 of breastfeeding so finding this very helpful, especially as I have a very similar skin type to you Ruth xx
I've just bought my mum some filorga stuff. She's mid sixties and hasn't really been too bothered about her small wrinkles until recently.
you look great !!!

Someone asked me how old I was the other day and I honest to goodness could not remember.
😂
Hylamide Glow is currently on offer at Look Fantastic £13.40 and there's also an extra 15-18% off on at the moment too. Perfect as I have been wanted to try since you spoke about it Ruth! :)
You're just so wonderful. Truly. That sweater... where can i get one?
Great video Ruth! Always great advice!
What foundation do you use over the bare minerals prep step? I just got it and I'm looking for a foundation that works well with it :)

OK good to know! I have the Glycolic one but not sure I have this - I'll check and get started if I do! x
I've been using this for 7 days and om'goodness. My skin looks even, lively, feels hydrated and glowing. It's addictive!! I'd love to hear your comments on this 💘
Love your jumper. Where is it from please?
Hush, see info box! xx
biggest smile when you double checked your age. ♡
I've gone and bought the indeed c24 when do I put that on is it morning or night and is it after I've cleaned and toned xxxx
That's serious baby-brain when you can't remember your own age haha xx
: )
You have really great skin. Informative video. Thanks for sharing.
Ah, you're ace! Really enjoyed watching this.
I miss your vlogs!
One tomorrow! x
Does C24 have that sort of grainy texture? The ordinary one has it and I hate it
Niall Kavanagh I can't get on with the Ordinary either, for the same reason. It's just really unpleasant to use.
Niall Kavanagh I combine the ordinary vit c with a moisturiser and the graininess goes away instantly because the granules of vit c are water soluble. Makes putting it on so much easier
Niall Kavanagh it doesn't, it just feels like a light silicone primer
no but it's very siliconey
Mine doesn't, it's more dry-slippy! x
Ruth, do you like sheet mask?
Ruth, I'd love to know where your ring is from - it's GORGEOUS!! 💍😍 x
Bvlgari x
Ruth, you may want to 'http' the Google links in your description box (as of now, those ones are unclickable) ;) x
Aha, thank you xx
Thanks for the Vitamin C recommendations. I'm not liking the one from Ordinary, and these ship worldwide at Lookfantastic. Btw, love the sweater!
What don't you like? xx

I've noticed that 'meat smell' with my Ordinary Vit C! It's very odd. Cannot mix that with rosehip oil.... no no no
you have an amazing skin for your age
Thank you! x
Notifications squad xx
This is hilarious... that's what happened to me a few weeks ago. I was taking to my mom about age and I said I'm 32...she started laughing and said...no dear, your 33. I guess after 4 kids my brain is a bit ... :)
When I was pregnant or breastfeeding my skin was the oiliest it ever has been.
Really? That's v interesting! And it's usually dry? x
No, it is combination, but I got so oily and had so many breakouts like I last had in my early teens.
I also always get my age mixed up too lol
It's getting worse for me as time goes on!
Vitamin C smell = water leftover from boiling hot dogs
Totally x
You make me spend money lady! 😂 😂 😂 thanks for the beauty video you're looking beautiful 💖 💖 💖 💖
I ate a mini Magnum as I watched this. I'm completely addicted and I blame you. ;)
I have a problem with them. Can't stop.
As anyone got a good eye cream that dose the job for thinning under the eyes and dry under eyes that Int like £100 quid more like 50-60 pound mark 💖💖💖💖
Is she loosing a tooth
you look less tired after this second pregnancy.
Omg I frequently can't remember if I'm 22 or 23 😂
You look closer to 26 than 36
