when i told people i was going, lots of people said that there wouldnt be any naval vessels there, so i was pleasantly surprised. i didnt even film all of them as there were a lot of people in the way. I hope that next year there will be more ships and submarines on display.

do you think it would be better if i split the first half of the footage as dioramas and then navy ships on display, or keep them all mixed together?. Most people seem to switch off after 45 seconds - 2 mins

Looks like it was a great show.
Anyone know what scale was the cut out FCC ship?
At 1:35 the ship wreck diorama, though it is great, but I have seen that particular work on hyperscale form posted by the builder in a series of WIP over 15+ years ago.
Now, it is 2023. So, it looks if the builder keeps pulling it back out over and over either to display or to compete as it has been videotaped and photographed at several IPMS shows abroad.
I hope he or she is not one of those individuals we have in US that never stop entering their older models they competed with before.
Other than that, what a great event. Very talented individuals showed up.

the ship wreck at 1.35 was just on normal display. I couldnt go into the competition area as i had a large bag and they dont allow bags into the area incase you hit a model by accident.

@@rcmodelwarships6893 The IPMS were always a little anti scratch building. The Vengeance is 3D printed, will that be an issue...? Oh by the way she was from the Canopus Class of Battleship, made famous on a certain Album cover for a Mr Jeff Wayne.... The Martian Figting Machine, I must say turned out well.

although ive been to ipms shows before this was my fist time at telford. i really wouldnt know what issues they would have with anything. i will say that i was told that there wouldnt be any model boats, glad to say there were over 200, but still nothing in comparison to the tanks and figures. when they get to 500 on display then ill be impressed.

The larger scale small ships are much more interesting to me. SO much room for working details. I wish ALL model makers (plastic as well as RC) would realize the perfect scale is 1/16.......where 3/4" equals one foot and 1/16" is one inch.

i know quite a few people with 1/16 tanks. but having model battleships in that scale would be huge. I have 1/96 battleships and they are 8-9ft long
