I love how Meiko gets the best part of the song (in my opinion) but Miku also sings in here. It's fair that other Vocaloids get awesome parts in awesome songs other than Miku.
ikr meiko has a WAY better voice bank, and never gets enough attention

+CocoCookiesJ GT Miku isn't the first character..... Lola and Leon were the first characters of vocaloid, then came Meiko and then Kaito, then they created Sweet Anne and THEN Miku was created.

CocoCookiesJ GT that is because she was the first announced official character. But Lola and Leon were the first ever created, they were more prototypes. Then Meiko was created, she was what created a small steady interested in the vocaloid's, its sad really because everyone now forgot meiko and replaced her with Miku. Kaito is what boosted that small interest then they created Miku. Miku was a big hit, but she overshadowed Meiko and the others leading Lola and Leon to be forgotten, then Meiko was slowly forgotten herself, she still has a small fandom. but so many people shine Miku in her rightful light of boosting an interest in the Vocaloid community. Although I find all the vocaloids equally good. I would like you to know that before screaming at people for their opinions, which were wrong to hate on any vocaloid character, you should realize what you are saying.
Both MEIKO and Miku are incredible. I love when the vocaloids sing together because one alone might sound good, but together they sound awesome!

Ah, listening to this after so long, makes me feel a sense of nostalgia haha
Here is the story I got from the song. There was a war. It has ended, and now each Vocaloid grieves, each one knowing they were responsible for their part. Mieko and Gakupo piloted robots, Len and Rin were spies, Miku, Gumi, and Luka were foot soldiers. Kaito remained neutral to the very end before his hand was forced. The damage to Earth was extensive. The beam of light is the only thing keeping Kaito's space station from falling into the Earth. The beam grows weaker each day. The Vocaloids on Earth watch the beam fade and grieve, knowing they each played a part leading to the damage that left the light in its current state. They also grieve for Kaito, as when the light fails, his station will crash onto Earth, and he has no chance of surviving it. Miku refuses to give up on Kaito, but in the end, she gives up because she realizes there isn't anything she can do. The light fades away. The Vocaloids gather and watch as the station burns through the atmosphere to crash into the ground where it explodes, leaving behind a blackened ruin. Miku is held back from running to the ruin.
Gakupo: This is our fault!
Len: We're responsible!
Gumi: Our actions cost us our friend!
Luka: The price was too high!
Mieko: We should have done more to prevent the war!
Rin: We lost even though we won.
Miku: We lost the one thing most important to all of us, our friend.

On the way home from school one of the streets I'd take was normally quiet, I'd always choose Mikus part this song to just stand there and listen to it with all the sound from the busy roads near me, but the street I was empty so none of that concerned me. I felt safe and it's one of the only times back then where I did feel safe, I'll never forget it

I might be overthinking this, but this music video makes me a little sad everytime i watch it. Because all they can do is exist in the crumbling world around them. Kinda heartbreaking.

For those who do not understand what is going on:
It starts out with Miku, who has seen what has happened to the world, and admiring what the world was like before everything happened.
Meiko is in a drought-plagued area with a white sheet (A white flag or sheet symbolising surrendership) and is watching as she will be destroyed soon afterwards.
The twins are deserted and enjoying life as long as they can.
Kaito is stranded in space
Gumi is still looking for hope
And poor Gackupo is abducted :(

Aaaa mano,me lembro quando conheci vocaloid (2014) eu achei esse video foi um dos primeiros video clipes de voocaloid que ouvi e eu amava de mais! Na epoca eu viciei em vocaloid, depois de uns anos eu parei fiquei longe das musicas...
Depois que voltei a gostar de vocaloid (2020) procurei essa musica em todo lugar e não achava, agora encontrei no meus recomendados do youtube. Aaaa que nostalgia, vai pra minha playlist ficar guardada pra mim nunca mais perder novamente ❤❤❤

Real voices are becoming more robotic, and robot voices are becoming more realistic. Not that I have a problem with Vocaloids continuously becoming more fantastic.

this was increadable and very sad. I ight be the only one who feels like this but when they showed Gakupo inside the robot I almost cried because you could feel his sadness. Just wow this is really eye opening that this could happen to us and I think we're walking down that road pretty well which is horrible.
