This species only has 1 queen and very small colonies fitting in 1 acorn, haselnutt or wallnut they are perfect with other relaxed species like lasius flavus
You can just buy a 20cm×20×10 arena and put a wallnut in there and never have to worry about a nest , they are perfect for your working desk, so you can watch them if you need a break from work

No just one. They are really small. And do their own thing. This colony will probably join a multi ant setup.
