Nice....my father still has and is still riding his '72 850 GT purchased new in from the factory in italy and ridden overland back to Australia and then airfreighted home to New Zealand.
My bike is currently sitting under a tarpaulin in the pouring rain (England) awaiting a new fuel pump, (I don’t have a garage/shed so I’m at the mercy of the weather..).. seeing these long (dry!) roads of yours gives me hope.
I hope you missed the worst of the recent storm. Once you get that pump installed there will be days when riding is possible and fun - yes, even in good old England. Ride safely.
Hi Nick...followed along with the maps, you live in a special place. When you sped up the video my first thought was "dang, he must have bought an 850 LeMans and drank a tall expresso". Thanks for taking us along.
Digital speeding up was quite convincing, as the leaves appeared to be falling in real time as you passed by. Fabulous video as always, thankyou for sharing them.
Nice video to watch as another season is ending. Was motorcycle camping at Black Donald Tent and Trailer Park the first weekend after Labour Day, beautiful riding and only one night of rain.
Well Nick, we share a penchant for the backroads. I was riding my 19 year old Hog on a couple of these same roads last Thu afternoon when we had the sunshine & mild temps. Sorry to see the weather change as I don't have snowmobiles anymore!
I’ve recently begun riding an old Honda CX500 on the back roads around our winter digs in the south Okanagan. Perhaps unsurprisingly it sounds a lot like your sped up Guzzi.
As always.. entertaining and peaceful Beautiful autumnal colours AYE.. surprising how some bikes run better in the cooler conditions Here in Bonnie Scotland.. currently getting hammered by days of BIG storm.. Stay safe..and thanks for taking us along with you
Watching your videos always temped me to trade my small city scooter for bigger touring scooter and go wonder around the roads in my country. This year time passed very fast for me and remember like yesterday your spring videos.
Even though I enjoy burbling along at 30-40mph, we've just had Storm Babet and my AJS is in bits, so I don't think I'll be seeing many autumn leaves in Northumberland this year. They don't hang around for very long in this neck of the woods anyway.
Nick thank you for the video. They always make me homesick and that's a good thing for me. I'm in Florida and not sure I can't seem to connect with the place. But I'm trying.
Thanks for another interesting and enjoyable video. I rode in this area on my way back from Lake Placid a few weeks ago. The colours were amazing. Thanks again. Ps The South Lavant road will be on my next pass through. Thanks for the tip.
Ah-ha! So there IS a moto renegade lurking under that retiring exterior. Fun to see you letting it out a bit in this one. Beautiful ride. And exhilarating. Inspiring! I gotta go for a ride today! Cheers!
Nice rolling interlude Nick! Thanks, really like those Guzzie pots sticking out in the wind... Was out yesterday on the old VX800, running nice, but today has got wet with leaves so backing off [ smooth tires and a lot of torque] , been beetling around town on the bicycle which is fun too. :)
Nick, I'm a wee bit envious of your last turns of the rubber for this year. Any Guzzi on the fly is a wonderful sound. Could feel myself in the saddle on the Mill Road. I resisted mothballing Mr Guzzi (2013 V7) in hope of a final ride or two. It snowed two days ago and this morning my 'do I ride thermometer' read -18 (C). Sigh. Now I have to wait until it is warm enough to ride the bike up a steep ramp and into the shop for its winter refit. I'll be replaying this ride a few times in the next five months.
-18c - that seems a little depressing so early in the season. On the bright side, you're in the Yukon, so even if you're not able to ride, you do have that breathtaking scenery all around which, I'm sure, isn't hurt by a dusting of snow. Stay well. Spring will be here in......well, a few months anyway.😁
Auguri. Nick
Nice to see someone still out on the back roads. The Ambassador is covered for the season here in Alaska. I have a few Winter projects lined up for it.
Hi Nick. The Fall is by far my favourite time for riding. All through the July heat I look forward to mid August and the first hint of changing colours in the leaves. September is my favourite month of the year. Unfortunately we didn't get that transition this time around though. Not even a frosty morning yet. I have two ritual Fall rides. One is the first few days of the first week of October, staying in Bracebridge and wandering around the Muskoka lakes. The colours this time weren't as dramatic as those that I see in my photo's from previous year's rides. But the roads are always wonderful. The other is out through Renfrew and Eganville, then down the 512 (Foymount Road), 515, and 514. I did this one just last Thursday (19-Oct). Unfortunately it clouded over south of Eganville making this year's disappointing foliage even more dull. But the clouds had a drama of their own, and sometimes the more subtle dry browns of the fields and roadside bushes are more appealing in the softer light. Although I didn't set out to ride any dirt roads, much of Foymount road is torn up now for rebuilding, so I got my share of gravel. Outside of Renfrew I only saw one other bike on the road all day. Good to see that you were out for a cruise. You're putting those semi-dirt tires on the Guzzi to good use.
Haha that was interesting to see the sped up footage complete with sound . It was truly life like and really displayed the awesome sound of the Eldorado ....and yes the Eldorado is a beautiful motobike !
This is great! I’ve put some more aggressive tires on my Guzzi V7 this season. Hoping to explore some more of the lovely gravel roads here in NL next year.
Excellent work Nick. Just home from a lovely late autumn run myself albeit a fraction of the mileage covered by yourself. Indeed the steed does seem to run crisper in the cool late afternoon air. Unfortunately with the Ambo wrapped up for winter I had to make do with one of my old MZs also a characteristic machine, well in my opinion anyway…. Take care.
Thanks. The tyres are cheapo Duro front and Kenda rear. I've found that people agonize over which are best, but in my experience they make little difference.
We used this type of tread years ago riding in countryside in Poland. They were pretty good on mixed gravel and tarmac just sketchy when wet. I'm gonna try them as rhe prices of modern dual tyres these days are bit sick. Cheers Nick, keep on riding and sharing beautiful images of Canada
@@krzysztofnarewski986 The rubber compoun may have been improved since those days. I find them perfectly fine in the wet. Ride safely and thanks for watching.
It's something I do from time to time because I want to show the footage without boring the viewers. Some like it. Some don't. It's all good. I'm happy ypou enjoyed at least some of it.
Zen and the art of motorcycle videos. Love your storytelling!
Many thanks 😍

Only opened her up through digital magic Dewayne. I was still crawling along really.
@nick949eldo that is 😁 because I was thinking "man he's going to kill himself "! Haha!
Beautiful scenery!
Great fall ride. After I lunch I think I will head out and do the same sun is shining!
How great does that Guzzi sound? Good to see you out and about Nick. Always a pleasure to watch your videos.
