Bro Trust me beard is so much work, I have a full dense beard but I wish I rather had just a goatee with a good jawline, I must trim this shit every 3 days to 5mm to look clean, also clean up the edges every 3 days :( it’s so exhausting but I can’t shave it off because it comes very dark and strong back

Contrast tip was great. When I used to get skin fades a rocked a longer beard and my barber would blend it in. Looked great. No I have longer hair all over and I rock a short stubble cleaner facial hair and looks much better

@user-dc2zv1pq1n long hair with short maintained beard looks very good. I'd go with that because it's a more unique look than short faded hair and big beard which is over done in this era of life (but which is also a good look)

I generally have very nice eyebrows to the point where people ask me if I do mine and I can confirm as someone who's beard doesn't fully connect yet whenever I've grown it out a lot I end up looking really strange cause my chin hair and sideburn hair grows the thickest and my cheeks and moustache grow lighter or less hair so I end up looking a lot older and my face looks way less defined as a result but I have been looking for a beard style cause I'm tired of rocking the clean shave so I've been growing my moustache out but now I'm going to try that disconnected goatee look out and see if it works for my face
Yeah man. Experiment about a bit and take photos of yourself and find the best looking you! Also, some great looking beards looked shit at first! You’ve got to have the balls to grow it all out and see! 💀

I have a diamond face shape but the cheeks area grow less than moustache and chin and may cause to look kinda odd.

I have a smaller chin but luckily i grow alot of hair around my chin and fast. Good tips with contrast though i'll take that into mind
Step 1: Be able to grow facial hair
Minoxidil(ask dermatologist first if it's secure for your skin).
Alternatively, if you can't grow facial hair, opt for a longer/messier haircut which taps into the contrast talked about.
minoxydil once a day + dermaroller once a week + patience to wait for a few months or even a year can do some wonders.

want a disconnected goated can grow it out pretty fast but it grows pretty patchy and spiky if that makes sense, any tips to make it fuller like the pics in the vid

The thing about beards hiding full lips isn’t necessarily true. With a beard, you just have to line up the moustache area right so that it emphasizes your lip shape.

I think both work, as long as the goatee isn't messy :).
I don’t think it’s really about what you “ should do” I think it’s more about rocking what you want. do what makes you feel good. If it’s a bit neat and crisp around the edges and bottom of the beard you won’t look homeless.

So I've been growing out my (curly) hair for many months and every time I go to the barber, I've asked for drop fades. And to match this, I've always shaved my facial hair to be a disconnected goatee.
However, last week I got an undercut, which I braided into cornrows (I plan to keep this hairstyle for the next few months). Now this time when I tried to go for the disconnected goatee, it looked kinda off, probably coz of lack of contrast.
So does anyone know any good facial hair styles I should try out?

Here's me thinking I've been pretty lucky in the beard growing department and then you go and show a guy with a beard that looks similar to mine when you said "patchy beard" 😭 BTW I don't think that guys beard is actually patchy, it's just light coloured and still growing in. It would look fuller if it was a bit longer. That's maybe a month of growth? A few months more and it should look pretty full
