I'm retired and I have heard a first start of a lot of freshly rebuilt motors in my time, but they are never any less exciting the older I get. I have to admit, I was grinning from ear to ear for you both! It sounded lovely.
love watching , we all have our way and your doing it right. I urge friends that I have made Triumph addicts to watch and I am very frugal and so I like how you save and don't throw away.
Thanks mate appreciate it! Frugal is the way, some things deserve to be saved. Plus I like the challenge, it would be a great deal more expensive if I replaced every "blemished" part!
TT PIPES AND WEBCO EXHAUST CLAMPS!!! Hell yea brother! This yank approves of your choice! I totally dig the channel btw! Its gotta be cool to have Rick around as a friend!
Only the finest! Thankyou mate, yes it's great to have Rick. He has been a true inspiration and help with getting me into British bikes. P. S if you like the pipes and clamps you'll love the next build I have coming!
Again a great video. The first winter, 1984 I had a bonneville (1977 tt140 750).I removed the Amal carbs and polished them to a high shine.just to watch them fade back to a matte finish .I love your videos!
Thanks mate! Ahh yes this is not the first time I've heard of this, that maizac polishes like a mirror. But as soon as you're done it wants to corrode again!
Thanks mate! Yes it is an incredibly cool workshop, I've been mates with Rick for 6 years now and still everytime I go round there is something interesting to look at!
Cheers mate! Yes not long now until the test ride I think. They are great things those tt pipes, if I can stretch the bore a bit they may end up as permanent!
I currently run a single concentric Amal but using 750 barrels 650 hardened bottom end so higher rev able. Left hand changed for road but am toying with the idea of air shift for drag but not tried this yet. Oh well back to work
totally distracted by those motors on the gable end wall, how has the shelf not collapsed? oh wow, you solder your HT leads to the washer, never seen that done before. Result!.
Haha, they're sturdy old shelves! Yes stops it from unclipping everytime you remove the lead! Last thing you want is to break down and drop your clip down the drain whilst investigating problems 😂
I had no idea that jet block piece was removable... in fact I was staring at my diagram yesterday trying to figure out if I'm actually missing that part from my monobloc? I've watched a few monobloc videos and I've never seen anyone take that part out. Now I now it's in there, it just looks like part of the carb body. My 1964 TR6 came with a concentric 930, but I got the monobloc carb in a box with some other parts. It seems fine, except it leaks a little from the cover. I'd love to put it on my bike sometime... to see if there's any difference between the monobloc and the concentric as far as performance goes.
Well dr frankenstein .....she's alive !!!! Ya ha ha ha !!!!(mad scientist laughing).....so when's the next installment of..BIKE SHED MADNESS !!!! 😮😂. See you later will . Peace out ✌️
if I had a carburetor body that was misshapen like that one oval-shaped I would've took a tool to hone brake cylinders it's not much bigger and it would take it round again.
Hi, don't suppose you have a wiring diagram for how you rigged this up? I've just bought a 62 5ta with a 3ta engine (yeah, weird...) and the wiring is so bad that I'm gonnae rip it all out and start again - it'll be a scrambler, so I basically just need enough to get ignition. Cheers!

This first start was SATISFYING!
I remember the feeling getting my TR6 fired up for the first time! Especially after building it from a bare case rebuild! Nothing better!

Great sounding bike, firing it up is quite the milestone!
Cheers mate, yes it was a real moment for me!
Congratulations! Was so great to hear her kick over - good job!
sounds healthy!!!
🤘😎🤘
Cheers mate, it should be! Definitely be healthier than when I got it at least 😂

Great episode Will. I love how positive all of your commenters are. I enjoy your videos and reading the feedback that you get. Good effort.
Thankyou dave, I am very much grateful to have such interactive, positive comments. It's good to have like minded viewers that appreciate these bikes.
Great job well done guys , i also just want to say i like rick's workshop i pause the video often to look around very cool.
Yeah, me too.
Thanks mate! Yes it is an incredibly cool workshop, I've been mates with Rick for 6 years now and still everytime I go round there is something interesting to look at!
Caught you in the Snow-Mann vid. Good job, lad!
Great job, good to see you're on the home straight, I'm loving the exhaust!

Great to hear it run Will, sounds great. Monobloc maladies are no stranger here either. Top job as usual.
Best wishes, Dean.
Cheers Dean, yes these monobloc always have a story of their own. Still they are charming and function well! Can't ask for more than that
Great work guys 😎
Cheers mate!
Sounds ok I have not used that carb myself but you have inspired me thank you for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching! I'm intrigued by the spec of carb, I will be interested to see how it runs out on the road.

Haha yes you got it mate! As soon as can be, still got to paint the thing yet. I'm sure it will still throw surprises my way! Cheers for watching 🙏
