That’s why Affordable Watch Brands are SO important for people like us. They satiate the craving without breaking the bank (as much). That expensive Rolex or whatever is going to get boring and old eventually… just like the cheap ones.
Among collectors, it does become a bit of a joke, the thrill of acquisition, the growing collection and so on. But it's actually serious. I hit around 60, then stopped. And a few weeks ago, I retired from work. I will NEVER work again. Trust me, planning for your future is a lot more important than watches. In fact, I probably could have retired a couple of years earlier without the watches. I love watches, I still want more, and I totally get it. But don't lose yourself in the hype - they are luxuries, jewellery.
100%! I’m glad you said that. I tell people all the time it doesn’t matter if it’s a $10 watch or a $10,000 watch every watch today is a luxury because we have phones…
This is so true. I have been sucked into the vortex of watch collecting, and my fiance is starting to think I am crazy for doing so. She asks why I need so many...
Your scenario is incredibly accurate. Six short months ago I had two Laco fliegers. Today I have fourteen watches and I’ve just purchased my first Swiss watch, but I’m already thinking of which one to get next.
Getting married next year, sounds like an excellent excuse to buy another watch 😁. That Movado looks pretty cool, shame you didn't like it long term, it is when you sell that the money lost hits home.
Yeah. I was trying to get a used matching Cartier tank solo to match the old ladies… but she want a glacier wedding.. so here in Alaska, you rent a helicopter to get married in a glacier…. That’s about two watches…
'tis a bittersweet curse. my wife seems to understand but i think underneath it all she worries I have a disease. i feel like the more watches i have, the more variety i have to keep me interested and not wanting anything else, but still what is that point where it can all stop...?
I recently have gotten access to a huge inheritance (millions of dollars) and now I have all these disposable money, and all I think about are watches.
I started flipping watches a month ago, before that I never spent more than $10 on a watch 😂 now I’ve had 20k in inventory come and go, Rolex, omega, Breitling Tudor, still get the fun of new watches and the excitement of a buy but instead of it being money sitting around, I’m making money on it. Now started my personal collection with a $20 Casio AW158 😂
‘It’s not a hobby, it’s a disease.” Thank you for your service and excellent content.
Appreciate that!

I am retired, and the obsession of the Watch Collecting Bug has got me! My wife thinks I’m crazy but I enjoy it! And on to the next watch…😅
Exactly!
I feel your pain brother!! Happy hunting!

This is great! I have one arriving today, I needed a quartz beater dirty dozen. This is lunacy.

There’s never too many… so I got my fiancé that Cartier tank, then she got the movado, and now she’s like 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Spread the watch loving around..

a mad cycle. im looking at two watches right now, and trying to find a way to make it work
I seen more people wearing in the 70s early 80s now. They don’t make them like before.
Thanks for getting me to look at the Casio Worldtime😮

Interesing story

I have no idea what you're talking about. This just makes too much sense, so it can not be true. 🤦🤷
"Hello, my name is Aron. I'm a watch addict."
