Batman #500 die cut? I thought that was the foil embossed cover.
Yes it is embossed but has a die cut cover as well.
The Hardware no. 1 with the Milestone logo on the left side is the newsstand edition which has a higher value. The other cover is the standard cover which was availlable in a polybag or without one.
475 comic books for a 140,00 was quite a bargain. I would have bought this collection also. I started collectin in the early 90´s and got most of the books back then. Wish I would have kept them but then life happened and I just got back into comics a few years back.

It’s risky to buy like that, it’s almost like purchasing a mystery box. You did good all things considering. Sometimes it pays to take a chance if the price is right. 👏👏👍

It's really odd that some young guy had a random tub of comics at a card show. Hopefully, nobody's windows were broken into in the parking lot. Price sounded like a user trying to make for his next hit on top of it.

I’m pretty sure he was just a sports card collector and reseller looking to flip some comics he had. Nothing seemed shady to me and I’m pretty good at spotting suspicious characters. 😎
Just curious...I've had thoughts of trying to sell at one of those local one day shows, did you find it financially worth it?
I’d say it all depends on the price of the table. This show only cost $40 for a table or two tables for $75. Which I think is a good deal. I’ve sold at shows that cost $60-$100 per table which I think is a bit pricey.
Also, if you have a good profit margin on the items you’re selling, that makes it easier to cover your table cost.
But in the end, you’re basically paying for the exposure. If I wasn’t selling at this particular show, I wouldn’t have come across the guy who sold me the comic collection.
So I say this show was definitely worth it. And I ended up selling around $800 in sales.
But I’ve also sold at shows where I didn’t make much money at all..
