Travis is pretty articluate when it comes to breaking down lines, terrain, gear, and boards. He's a student of the game clearly. Been watching him since he rode for Rossi and poached Superpark. The contest innovation and surf-style competition in the Naturah Selection series is exactly the kind of progression the industry needs to go in.
It is my favorite board since I got it. Resort riding or in the backcountry. Love it! Lib Tech killed it!
Hell yeah the Orca is so sick. Just got done smashing a pow day at Baker on it and have been split boarding on a K2 Marauder. The Orca is night and day. Best board I’ve ever ridden and the K2 feels sluggish and hard to maneuver on the split days. Gonna grab this so I can have as much fun as I do at the resort in the BC.
Love the Karakoram clips
Looks like an excellent split board
I can assert that the tail of the Orca split is much more comfortable than the sharp rising tail found on the regular Orca.
Looks amazing I’m getting one
I had the opportunity to get this board in august 2021 to ride it the las week of winter season here en Chile… and it’s mind blowing… I get 153 and I’m 1.76 88 kg and it’s feel so precise and accurate that I couldn’t process in the first ride. I did it with tons of fresh pow and it was amazing. There was no need to lay back and feels like you over a skateboard.
The only problem with 153, was the Splitboard skins doesn’t fit, cause they are made it for larger boards and I had to make a few changes to fit in.
How is the edge hold in walk mode ? I thought it could be an issue since in walk mode your feet sit over where the rocker part of the profile is , Here in NEw Zealand splitboarding there is alot of wind swept and icey terrain , im confident the orca can kill it in normal riding mode but i did have concerns over the walk mode , Still feel the Jones Solution is the better bet but damn that split looks beautiful and I have a normal orca in 153 and its one of my main boards!
I have a camber split board but after buying the Rasman last year I've decided I need a C2x split as well. Glad I found one for cheap, the new $1200 is hard to swallow. Not saying it's not justified as I'm sure that profile as a split is rough to build, but the Weston Backwoods Carbon is cheaper, lighter, stronger. Not C2x tho 😉
Wouldn’t a split board cut in half be a quartered board?
I'm 6'2", 180lbs and have about 40 days on a 156 reg orca. I've been thinking about dropping down on my Orca to 153 for side country. What size should I go with for a split?
one to get
grail
It’s camber ??!!!
No
Split mode with a rocker profile?no way😂😂
