Fuck, this hits hard. I remember being deployed back in 2010, fresh outta highschool the year before. I was a brand new medic and thought I had all the time in the world with my bros. Then reality hit hard as we took losses, as friends took their lives throughout the years and here I am sitting watching an anime review (no offense, fantastic video!). I am in no way geezer, but time has passed and its those little moments I need to cherish and people I need to hold close. Great video man, gave me and prolly a few others a lot to think about. Liked and subbed my dude.

I love this show. I anticipate Fridays all week for FrierenFriday. The characters, the cute girls, the world, the monsters, the animations, the lessons its all SUPERB. The only reason I hesitate recommending it is because Idont want to give others existential crisis like I went through knowing how my time on this earth was used and what I have left is precious. Thanks for the video I enjoyed it!

thinking long life as some sort of torment is kinda shallow tbh, since as human we didnt fully garps what long life would feel like it's rare to see someone like frieren that didn't really see long life as suffering or torment but simply nature. after all, long lived race would and should be have different wisdom than us human. instead, she starting to see the fact that she is gonna life long, she gonna learn and understand humanity. she got all the time there is and have the priviledge to experience many encounter like what she got right now with fern or her former party. ain't that amazing? after all, both happiness and sadness is temporary
I too didn't have faith in this one at first , I don't like generic fantasy settings or the usual predictable way it's handled, But man did it prove everyone wrong. I wish mad house , the staff , and the mangaka behind this a successful career, And hopefully a healthier one than what mappa is doing right now

Ive read the manga i love one of the seven sages hes really cool... Macht of eldorado... Also i like this old man mage that tried to fight frieren in the first class mage test arc... Denken...
I look forward to meeting those characters!! I’ve only read up to where the anime is right now in the manga but once this seasons done I’m sure I won’t be able to just keep reading
Thanks! I use DaVinci Resolve! I gather the footage from streaming and just editing it over my VO ! :) the overlays like the VRC screen and red paper you can find free online on stock image websites
@@rauwrois it just called red crumpling paper background effect or what? Also what size are you setting your clips of the anime to? And lastly, do you just download full episodes and cut them all up into 5 second clips or what?
@@elitealice if you go on a website called vecteezy and type in paper it should bring it up! The clips are usually 1920x1080 and I just shrink or enlarge it for certain effects. Crop out subtitles sometimes. I basically just open up the episode, record my screen and let the episodes play for a bit and use that as footage. I’m sure there’s an easier but I haven’t found it yet lol

Frieren jumped up there in my top 10 real quick and I'm glad I caught up with the manga...she is a wholesome badass!

I remember hearing about this series from another anime youtuber, and was excited about a fantasy series that wasn't an isekie.
It’s definitely a breath of fresh air in many ways but that is absolutely one of them! Pure Fantasy story. No one had to get hit by a truck lol

Do itttt! It’s definitely a slower anime but I think that’s by design and feeds into the themes. There are great pay offs for sticking with it imo :)
