Upon some investigation it seems that the update that introduced bikes somehow messed with the sound mixing in a way that either swapped the engine/exhaust sounds around or required Criterion to do so, as well as breaking the overall sound volume, which is why re-enabling any of the unused engine sounds on any pc version makes them incredibly quiet as they had not been edited since before the game's initial release
I give you my utmost respect for making this video. 1.0 had the best car sounds than what the later updates did to them. Edit: Oh, and both the Inferno Van and Hot Rod Coupe are my outright favorites. The startup sounds for the Grand Marais and Racing Oval Champ are very different. I prefer the latter’s over the current version that is literally just a copy-and-paste of the Hot Rod Coupe’s, and the former’s current version fits much better.
For me my favourites in Burnout Paradise were: Montgomery GT 2400, KRIEGER F1 WTR, UBERSCHALL 8, and Carson Inferno Van (BEST CAR FOR MARKED MAN SURVIVAL RACE).
The Carson Thunder sounds completely different sharing its sound with NFS Carbon's '67 Camaro, Chevelle, and '67 GT500. The Rossolini LM was made bassier, the Krieger 616 Sport sounds much more aggressive, the Kitano Touge hissier (?), and the Krieger Uberschall's way too quiet and not deep enough
2 more your missing after the update The racing Oval Champ has the same engine sound but a added whistling sound in the update The R-Turbo Roadster has a more muffled engine sound
I admit that I like the remastered version a lot What I didn't like about the update was when they changed the engine to the Hansen P12 car, it sounded very loud before and the engine did roar. now you can't hear it before, now you hear it sharp The Carson Thunder engine is the same as the NFS Carbon from chevrolet chevelle SS
I don’t like this version of the game getting put on a pedestal as superior in every way when the remaster has so much more content I’d rather have that content and the quality of life features that the remaster provides and trade off the slightly - and I mean *slightly* better crash physics and engine sounds
But only fractionally since updates also toned down the stats for majority of the cars but has some DLC cars like the Montgomery Hawker (Switchable Boost Type Car).
@@purwantiallan5089 But I'm talking about the Lotus created by Radford in 1969, there is a new version as a tribute to that car, but I'm talking about the 1969 version.
All car sounds in Burnout Paradise 1.0 are equally impressive even 16 years after its initial release!

The Cavalry and Thunder Custom sound so amazing, holy lord...
I mean pretty much all of them do, but those two are probably my favorites.

1.0 cars all of them are OP
Love the 616 and Uberschall. They make me happy.
And dont forget the Carson Thunder Custom also.

14:00
22:00
It is me or 1.0 starting cars like SI-7 were more faster 😮
Thank you for making a 1.0 video
The Uberschall 8 in Burnout Paradise sounded like a mix of Toyota GT ONE and Audi abt TT-R DTM.
how to get 1.0 version for pc and ps3?
On PC you can only use emulator to get the 1.0 version
You have to downgrade the PS3 version by deleting the Game Data Utility and then clicking circle when it tells you about the 1.9 update.
Can you make a video of Driving Emotion Type-S about engine sounds?
the initial release version of Burnout Paradise
The initial version of Paradise has 89 on Metacritic whilst the Updated one only 88.
Does the Nakamura SI-7 have straight cut gears??
Well it definitely is.
Interesting how virtually all of the sounds were repurposed from blackbox Need For Speed games

When the nfs prpstreet cutscene in japanese?
The best version of the game before they downgrade it through the updates
But only fractionally since updates also toned down the stats for majority of the cars but has some DLC cars like the Montgomery Hawker (Switchable Boost Type Car).
The updates ruined some aspects of the game, the most notable one being the Citizen instantly dying with no driveaways whatsoever.
