    Not trying to be a troll but that was terrible. Use smooth wire for the splice. That way the barbs don’t get in the way while tightening. You can also use a stick or another set of pliers for more leverage while twisting. Watch Tim Thompson. Your wire ended up very loose.

    Well, this might work on the kitty cat ranch. on a cattle rancher gonna want a little tighter than that

    The australian method using the inner grip is far better as it gives more leverage and naturally holds when you tie it off

    Put on a pair of heavy duty gloves and you can go twice as fast with no scratches. If you are going to use that technique, which I would not, use a Texas Fence Fixer to tighten it up.

    That wire is still loose I can pull that wire with my hand and tighten it with no gloves
