Wow...just wow. Happy for you. What an honor to get to play along with him. Now to get the rest of Wagakki Band in for an interview (maybe your 1.52 million subscribers can get Beni over 100k on TH-cam...it's a shame that she doesn't have more viewers). I'm looking forward to to finally being back in Japan this summer for my 60th birthday. Spending a few days in Osaka, a week or so in Tokyo, and a few days in Kyoto (and hopefully a trip up to Takefu Knife Village). Your videos have been an immense help in planning some of the things we want to do in Kyoto, so thank you very much.

I could listen to Kaminaga play for hours--the music is just so soothing!!
Watching him play, you could really tell it's 100% coming from his heart... I doubt he's ever needed to read sheet music
... It's like lying on a raft as you float down a river, if that makes sense.
Thanks for sharing this video with us!! Looking forward to part 2! ☺️

Kyoshu no Sora is also my favourite song of Wagakki Band but what you did here make me cry from the very first sound and each time i play it again it still happens. Please world need that duo in separete music version. The melody of your shakuhachis is just pure magic art. Love Kaminaga Daisuke, love Wagakki Band, Love Shogo

This was interesting. However I must remark, I have never heard of him or his band until now! It is very popular, with a certain age group I see. There are others who have gone before him that have reached fame as well, perhaps not as much in the amount your age group. I Myself play shakuhachi in a Blues band setting, and there are others in Jazz. It would be more interesting to see you expand your research into other modern genre of the shakuhachi. However this was well done and interesting, thank you for your work!

Thank you for the video. The duett was amazing. Kaminaga seems to be reaching and connecting with a lot of people around the world. So I guess, the Shakuhachi works out pretty well for him. 😀

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Dai-san is a living legend, I've never heard or seen such an amazing and versatile flute-player, his divine sound reaches your soul directly and what a charming personality he has!
The Wagakki Band, his main project, is the best band in the universe, I fell in love with them the first second I saw them. It would be cool, Dear Shogo-san, if you can get some of the other 7 members too to talk with you on your great channel.
Congratulations for the beautiful duet, your skills are impressive.

Thanks for bring one of my favorite persons to your channel, When I was child TV broad cast in Iran had contract with Japan and TV was full of Japanese movies and TV series and I really loved those movies, in age around 12 I had every Japanese classic movies from Kurosawa, Mizoguchi, Ichikawa,...etc. and from those movies sound of classical Japanese musics instruments are very familiar for me. In fact I raised with sound of those instruments and some Japanese culture and history so when I hear those instruments it is not sound foreign for me at all it is like you playing my music.
